Wait, quick citation dialog doesn't even display those authors? Could you submit a Debug ID for typing one of the authors that should display there?
-
Could you post URLs that produce saving failures?
-
There is a fix for the Word 2016 crashing on the Zotero Beta channel. See this comment (and discussion for context).
-
Could you submit a Debug ID for an attempted PDF save from both Zotero and the Connector (you will need to activate debug logging and submit for each separately).
-
Excellent. Thanks for the report. The fixed version is now available on the Beta channel, you can install this version over your current Zotero install and we'll post in this thread when the fix makes it into the release version.

A lot of JavaScript Error: "HTTP request has timed out after 15000ms You should try disabling security software and/or other extensions and see if it works. Something is preventing the extension from communicating on the internet.

Have you tried restarting the browser? If that doesn't help, update translators in Zotero Preferences -> General and afterwards in Zotero Connector Preferences -> Advanced.
-
Can you provide a Report ID from the connector? https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems
-
For word version check you should follow Microsoft's instructions.
-
We have plans for a possibility to add proper citation prefixes, which would work in footnotes too, but there's no timeline. You can use the prefix field of the first citation item to the same effect.

There have been no changes to the Mac Word plugin from our side for a while. Are you sure it began with the Zotero update? You could try creating a new user account on your Mac and see if you get crashing there. If it doesn't crash there it would i…

It is part of the text. If you edit the database entry Zotero will update all your citations in the text (after hitting refresh in the add-in or adding a new citation) without prompting, provided the citation Zotero is trying to update has not been …

@lbasti01, @oleander71, @smorris11: Ok, I think I have a fix, but since I cannot reproduce the problem, I need help with testing. You will need to manually replace the word plugin files. Follow these instructions carefully: 1. Open zotero installa…

What version of Windows, which browser?
-
So in case you missed my edit above, are you on the latest version of Word? If not, what version and could you try updating?
-
@lbasti01 how approximately big is the document you are working on in terms of number of citations and number of pages? Edit: Also make sure you are updated to the latest version of Word.
-
So just to make sure, is this what you are seeing: 1. There are three points in text (A), (B), and (C) appearing in the order listed 2. Chose APA 3. Insert a citation to a single Zotero item with 3 authors at (B) 4. Insert a citation to a single Zo…

Check your macro settings in Word Preferences - Trust Centre. You should allow Macros, or at the very least, under the Add-ins preferences make sure that Macros are enabled for add-ons.

Zotero Word for Mac Integration (5.0.1.SA.5.0.22, extension, disabled) The word for mac extension got disabled somehow. In Zotero go to Tools -> Add-ons and enable the extension, then restart Zotero.
-
Ok, so this debug ID shows a translation in progress and then a page refresh. You should wait a little longer, amazon saving is quite slow, because Zotero tries to get the best metadata possible there from a variety of sources.

Does https://www-jstor-org.libproxy.my-uni.edu/stable/3033889?seq=1 (note the hyphens instead of dots for the jstor hostname url) work with your proxy? If so, you should check "Automatically convert hyphens to dots in proxied hostnames" for the http…

Proceeding results in a 404 error. So what is the URL that you are taken to? Do note that you want to keep your existing http proxy, most of the hosts saved there won't support https, but add a new proxy entry for the https scheme and only put jsto…
-
Do you have a proxy entry for https scheme, or one for http only? If you add https://%h.libproxy.my-uni.edu/%p as an entry, add www.jstor.org in the hosts and remove it from the http scheme hostlist, does it work?

If you are using Chrome, then it is likely that at some point you allowed chrome to automatically open RIS files, which your OS automatically opens with Zotero. See http://www.presentermedia.com/blog/2013/10/my-file-automatically-opens-instead-of-s…

You need to download the Zotero client and Zotero connector. The connector installs in the browser and the Zotero client is an app that needs to run separately.
-
If the issue comes back, please create a new thread and describe it in full.
-
@oleander71 just to make sure you're affected by the same issue, are you on Word 2013 and working with a large doc (and possibly footnone-based style)?
-
Appears to be working normally for me. Could you submit a Debug ID for an attempted save from the firefox extension?
-
Something is blocking the Connector from accessing Zotero properly. Try disabling any security software and security/privacy addons. For more general debugging steps see https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/connector_zotero_unavailable

I am not quite sure what you are describing here. Could you provide an URL on which you are seeing a problem and describe what the problem is for that particular URL?
