Please submit a Report ID. What exact version of Word are you using? Have you tried reinstalling the plugin from Zotero preferences?
-
We actually spoof the user-agent when attempting to download attachments from Zotero, so they are doing something else. Likely won't be able to do much about this without our own access, but a Debug ID can't hurt.

The reported issues should be addressed in the latest beta. Thanks for reporting!

See the microsoft answer on how to reset Mac 2016 settings to default, try it on your main account and see if that fixes it too.

You're currently the only person reporting and able to reproduce something like this. Could you try creating a new user account on your computer (using a Guest account might work) and testing whether footnote styles work there? The expectation here …

If you insert a footnote in Word manually, does your cursor jump to the footnote automatically? If you insert the footnote manually first and the try to insert the citation within the footnote, does it work well?

In Word Options go to Trust Centre Settings. What are your macro preferences set to?

In Word go to View -> Macros. Do you see Zotero Macros listed? What happens if you try to run them?

The Debug ID is from Zotero 4.0.29.15. You should update to Zotero 5.0, which should resolve the issue.

No need. Do you get the prompt now every time you try to open Zotero.dotm about an error last time opening the file?
-
Did you try reinstalling Zotero itself before attempting to reinstall the plugin? My guess is that the Zotero.dotm file itself somehow got corrupt on your machine, which is why this is not working. If you try to open Zotero.dotm again, do you conti…

This is a bug with the Beta. We'll have a fix out within the next 24 hours

Does it help if you reinstall the plugin in Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors and restart Word?
-
This usually doesn't help, but it might be worth reinstalling Zotero and then in Zotero -> Tools -> Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors reinstalling the Word plugin.

@Lionhearts could you also submit a Report ID?

The only speed difference that could have come from us since September would have been related to how long it takes for the citation dialog to show up from clicking the button. Otherwise, the speed of Zotero citation inserts depends on the size of …

@zeeshanh See this https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#installation_error The extension failing to install via LO's own Extension Manager usually indicates JRE detection problems for LibreOffice.

Do other extensions work well? We have many safari connector users and haven't had reports of anything like this before. Could you try installing the Zotero Connector into Safari on another user account on this computer (Guest might work)?
-
Can you reproduce that in a new document? You might need to update your OS to at least El Capitan too. Yosemite is not officially supported by Apple anymore and this new version of Word (16.9) has been released after Yosemite support ended, which co…
