The Connector tries to do feature detection for browser recognition, but since Safari 10 checking for window.safari has not worked in certain circumstances (I believe frames) and we've changed it to rely on the UserAgent. If you have suggestions fo…

I wonder if the problem may have something to do with loading the citations as it seems to just stay in that empty box form without subsequently populating the citations That indeed appears to be the problem, although that part of the code has not b…

Please update to the latest version of the Zotero Beta and produce a Debug ID if you can reproduce the problem.
-
We have pushed an update with a fix. It should work fine after updating the Zotero Beta.
-
I'm not entirely sure what you're describing? Do you see this problem in a new document or only in an existing one? What do you mean by your references disappear? If you're seeing a dashed underline for your references it means you have disabled aut…

You can try the manual installation steps https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_manual_installation#word_for_mac_2011 Do note that Word for Mac 2011 support is being discontinued by both Microsoft and Zotero, so even if you get it to…

You can temporarily enable field code display which might help you find the phantom citation between 86 and 88.
-
Do you have any idea what may have changed on your system when the problem started occurring again? Did it begin during a period of active editing, or after not having used Zotero with the document for a while?
-
What do you mean by "I can't remove the "zotero.dotm"? What happens when you try to remove the file?
-
We have published an update with a potential fix. Can you try again and see whether it works now?
-
@schuerch @CedricJ we have published a potential fix for this issue. Could you test insertion in Chrome again and confirm whether the problem is gone?
-
Could you provide information for my previous question? Also, when you attempt to insert a citation, you should see Zotero insert "{Updating}" where your text cursor was. The text above should change to "Saving" and then back to "All changes saved i…

What is happening exactly? You said it gets stuck on the authorization complete page? What happens if you close it (and wait)? Is anything else wrong?
-
@schuerch Please refrain from snarky comments. We are trying to figure out what's causing the problem so we can fix this for you and all Zotero users, and a cooperative attitude goes a long way. See https://www.zotero.org/support/forum_guidelines#et…

@CedricJ, @schuerch Also, when you attempt to insert a citation, you should see Zotero insert {Updating} where your text cursor was. The text above should change to "Saving" and then back to "All changes saved in Drive". When the text changes back t…

@CedricJ, @schuerch Could you check to see whether it works better/fine on Firefox?
-
@CedricJ, @schuerch At the very top of the document editor there's some grey text saying "All changes saved in Drive", which after editing the document turns to "Saving" and then turns back to "All changes saved in Drive". If you type normally in th…

@CedricJ Okay, this debug log does record some slowness. Could you submit another Debug ID from the Zotero itself for the same operation?
-
@CedricJ Are you sure you're seeing a slowdown and not just the Zotero citation dialog not showing up on top of Google Docs? Restart your browser and Zotero, then attempt to insert a citation in a new document. Make sure you look through Zotero wind…
-
@CedricJ Was the operation recorded in the debug log particularly slow, and did you go through inserting a citation? The log you've submitted does not seem to show any slowness.
-
There appears to be some slowdown in Google's own servers. Unfortunately we cannot do anything about it, but it is likely that things will sort themselves out eventually.
-
@fiocrn Did the plugin work for you before and recently stopped or is this a new installation?
-
@nkmeyers I'm sorry to say that in your case you will not have much luck with Zotero integration I'm afraid. If you have collaborators that do not use the Zotero Connector citations will inevitably get unlinked.
-
I'm sorry, if you have a very large document, the Google Docs integration does indeed slow down quite significantly. There is little that can be done about that except for disabling automatic updates of citations. How big is this document (in terms …

@Romain_B Please create a new thread and explain your issue in details, as well as any steps you've taken in troubleshooting.
-
Could you be more specific about what problem you're experiencing? What are the steps to reproduce it?
-
You need to look in your document, not in Zotero. If the item appears in the bibliography, it means that the item is cited in the document somewhere. When you delete items from your Zotero database they do not automatically get removed from your doc…

Ok, it is likely that you will see problems with other extensions too. It might be a good idea to do a Firefox profile reset https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings It will create a backup of the original pro…

Did you try following the debugging broken documents steps?

Do you see the same problem in a new document? Do you run any security software (besides Windows Defender)? Have you tried temporarily disabling it?
