@gauthp Also if you go to https://firefox-storage-test.glitch.me/ what do you get for each storage subsystem statuses?

You need to find all instances of the deleted item in your document, remove them from it, and then insert the correct item in its place. Trying to delete the item from the bibliography won't help, since the bibliography is generated based on the cit…

LibreOffice is problematic with the way it extends its fields, but if you start typing directly after inserting the citation it should not extend the citation field. You can enable field shading in LibreOffice to better see what's going on. You can …

What version of Word (with full version number) are you using? Have you tried restarting your computer? Does it work in a new document?

Thanks. We've been unsuccessfully trying to track down what's causing this for a while. We'll look at fixing this soon. You can follow https://github.com/zotero/zotero-word-for-windows-integration/issues/50, but we'll post on this thread too once we…

You have a huge document with over 1091 cited items. It will take a long time to insert the bibliography. It is likely it will take over one hour to do it. If you see the main Zotero window pop up, Zotero is likely trying to display and focus the pr…

Can you generate bibliographies in each individual chapter documents? If the document is very long you might need to wait quite a while for the bibliography to be generated. How long is the document? If you've waited a long time could you produce a …

Citations may get unlinked when copying and pasting sections of the document if you do not have the Zotero Connector installed, or if you have collaborators on the document and they don't have it installed. There were some bugs in the Connector that…

Install the and use Zotero Connector https://www.zotero.org/download/ See https://www.zotero.org/support/adding_items_to_zotero

I believe you have another arxivx rss feed that includes most of these items, and unfortunately due to implementation limitations Zotero is unable to display the same rss items from multiple feeds at once.

Could you disable all extensions in Zotero and try reimporting after a restart? Edit: I suspect BBT might be a culprit, so disabling it might be enough.
-
How did you install Zotero? Are you sure the user under which you run Zotero has permissions to write in the Zotero profile folder?
-
I'm seeing 999 items when imported. Have you tried removing the feed from Zotero and re-adding it? It may have been a temporary hiccup. If that still doesn't produce 999 items could you produce a Debug ID for adding this feed to Zotero?

Nothing beyond trying the debugging broken documents steps

OpenOffice is no longer support by Zotero (and has not been for years). You should switch to LibreOffice which is the modern and maintained version of OpenOffice

Additionally, I am not able to save my word document on my hard drive. When I try, I receive the following message "Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error. This is an error unrelated to Zotero, but, assuming you are saving this…

@olesol Also it might help to go into Zotero profile directory and remove extensions.json, then restart Zotero.

Reinstallation is unlikely to help. We would need to see a startup Debug ID from Zotero.

I'd be happy to hang onto the old profile...what's the best way to share the data with yall? It's best if you hold onto it yourself. Firefox profiles contains sensitive personal data. Could you create a new firefox profile and point it to your old d…

In the old Firefox profile go to about:devtools-toolbox?type=extension&id=zotero%40chnm.gmu.edu and paste Zotero.Prefs.get('translatorMetadata') into it. You will either get output that starts with either something like Array(545) (the number m…

Could you produce a startup Debug ID from Zotero?

@charlesrobb Did you try testing with all other extensions disabled in the browser? You might need to go into the Connector preferences and reset translators again. Could you also test in a new firefox profile?

Could you produce a Debug ID from the Zotero Connector for a slow load of a page?

@anne0712 Have you tried restarting Zotero and your computer? If Word freezes whenever you attempt to perform a Zotero command, it usually means that Zotero was closed inproperly last time and not reopened since. If that is not the case, it could be…

Zotero opens all web links using the default internet browser on your system. Change the default browser to Firefox and Zotero will open feed items in it.

Do you see any other chrome windows appear, perhaps in the background, or none at all? Could you disable all extensions temporarily, restart Chrome and try again? Could you produce a Debug ID from Zotero (not the Connector)?
