Sorry, we are aware of the issue but currently unable to reproduce it ourselves. In the meantime you can work with Firefox where multiple users are reporting it works fine. We'll update when we have the issue fixed.

Did you try changing your computer language to English? If you open a new document, insert a citation, then manually modify the citation text (just add a few random letters) and try to refresh the document with Zotero do you get an error?

The Word version you are running is a few months old, so you should look to update it. Otherwise submit a Report ID.

We are aware of the issue but currently cannot reproduce it ourselves. If you disable other extensions in Chrome does it fix itself? If not, it's likely that it will work well with Firefox.
