You will have to troubleshoot this yourself. The icons there are controlled by your Linux distribution. Zotero updating should have no effect on them.

What's the version of Chrome that you are using there? Does it work with default chrome? How about in a different browser like Edge or Firefox? Have you tried disabling other extensions in Chrome and seeing whether that helps?
