still curious about this - just now i find that a non-zotero edited pdf was not syncing across until additional syncing is performed. no error was reported in all cases.

update ii. on dual monitor setting (haven't moved across), pdf in new window - not new tab - opening a PDF which was not recently opened (therefore utilising the default zoom factor), right click button might not appear in the UI. the menu appears…

@dstillman - cannot reproduce in troubleshooting mode. the deletion is triggered by backspace on keyboard. However, after troubleshooting mode, I can't seem to reproduce this problem.. hmmm.

I do have a dual monitor setup, but i haven't moved zotero across displays. (moreover, the issue occurs on both of my monitors without movement across them, i just tested this - figured this might be of help). The pdf is opened in a tab.

ditto. though my experience has been more of restarting the mac (thus quitting zotero) and the system almost always prompts a force quit on zotero as it is preventing the restart.
