But even for Windows 7, the zotero button ought to appear in the lower right, assuming one has the add-ins toolbar showing so I guess we're still talking corrupt extension files, right?

I've referred her in that direction - to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ask. Did this sort of problem also occur with prior versions of Zotero? Did people end up having incompatible add-ins, or was something just corrupted in the profile?

Thanks, Dan; I'll do that. It is also etty odd that the EndNote exporter ARTSTOR has does not work to send the RIS file right to Zotero, even though my preferences are set for Zotero to grab all RIS-format files.
