Might be a file type handling problem. What is the output of xdg-mime query default inode/directory? On my Ubuntu 22.04, it returns org.gnome.Nautilus.desktop See also https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xdg-utils#xdg-open

(Side note Before the PDF tab is the library tab without any spaces. Right, I have several tabs opened, so I don't see this large space, but with only one tab opened, I can see it. Maybe this could be fixed)

Does it occur with all the plugins disabled? There is a suspicious space before the PDF tab which seems to align with the arrow.

Do you mean that clicking on Zotero > Documents Preferences doesn't let you to change the Citation Style? Or is it something like this? Could you elaborate?

It seems that this shortcut is no configurable, right. You probably have to stick with the default combination of keys. Or ask for this to be configurable in the Settings

I tried with 2 recent PDFs and with 2 older OCRed PDFs. And I can't reproduce on macOS. (Aside, what is the popup near the cursor? Is it related to the screen recording software?)

I guess MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 is now enabled by default in Zotero 7 beta 59. I have tested with LO on Ubuntu (after disabling the option in ~/.profile) and all the Zotero windows pop above LO window, as expected. This also solves this issue for Zoter…
