You cannot manually change the page number in the reader itself, but you can change the page number in annotations. In the annotation widget, double-click the page number (top-left of an annotation) or use the three-dots menu (top-right).

I can’t reproduce the issue. In fact, I cannot reproduce on macOS. However, it is much slower to render than PDF.js viewer. Does it render correctly if you open that PDF file in Firefox using the PDF.js viewer? Yes, it does (faster than Zotero).

If you notice any error in the indexing, I guess the end of the thread applies: If there's a problem, you should report it in a new thread, with specifics. I there is no error, there is no need to perform it manually.
