So this is due to a plugin you have installed. Please identify which plugin is messing with the normal behavior and report to the plugin developer.

I cannot reproduce with 9.0.3. Does it still happen if you restart in troubleshooting mode? (Help > Restart in Troubleshooting Mode...)

I use Wayland on Ubuntu 22.04.5 and Zotero 9.0.3 installed from the tarball. And Shift+drag definitively works (as also mentioned by tnajdek above).

I also get PMID and PMCID in Extra field for both examples.

Both are saved as preprint for me. Please be sure you have the latest version of the PubMed XML translator.

With all DOIs or only a few? Please provide an example of a DOI that is not working.

It would be helpful if you could identify which Zotero plugin is causing this and eventually report the problem to the plugin developer.

I cannot reproduce with 10.0-beta.5+b7437faf5 (macOS 26.4.1 and Ubuntu 22.04.5) with annotations made on a PDF. (I don't have ebook to try on.)

Noted. However, I didn't make any column changes in an earlier beta myself. Z10b4 did it for me. When I switched from Z9 to Z10b4, the columns where reinitialized to the default configuration. But switching back to Z9 restored my custom order.

To me it is the responsibility of the user to regularly check if the plugins they installed are up-to-date. (And to be sure "Update Plugins Automatically" is checked.)

On Firefox, you need to right click, Save As on the link to the xpi file. (This is clearly specified in the Install section of the plugin.)
