GUI gurus might scream but perhaps the menu item and icon changes from camera/'snapshop' to page/'new Item' depending on the current setting as determined by preferences plus shift key.

I also am a mydrive.ch user who no longer can sync his archive. It would be terrific if Zotero would change its storage to limit the number of files in a single folder as I previously ran into this limit with another WebDav provider.
