Yes - 'do the same for all' (similar to what Windows File Explorer offers when you merge a couple of directories) would work nicely.

Looking for other ways to speed things up, I followed the instructions for deleting notes found in the forum discussion: "https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/35028/long-delays-slow-response/". Then, I took that one further, deleting all attachment…

Library Catalog: NCBI PubMed URL field, blank for what it's worth: PMID: 23439512 Appeared to be the offending record, with: American Heart Association Council on Quality of Care and Outcomes Research, Emergency Cardiovascular Care …

From a user's perspective, it would be preferable for you to truncate ridiculously long attributions rather than to import them if it will break synchronization.
-
the long 1st item actually refers to two organizations, not a subcommittee of one, i.e. American Heart Association Council on Quality of Care and Outcomes Research and Emergency Cardiovascular Care Committee (which is also an Americ…

fwiw, your guys dedication, responsiveness and expertise is amazing - thank you so much; I'd be happy to endorse you somehow more publicly. I recommend you to all my colleagues. I support you via George Mason, but it seems awfully indirect - you d…

Library Catalog field: NCBI PubMed Most likely imported using Firefox from PubMed web page, search results. Extra field: PMID: 23439512

I think I've found it, buried deep in a list of authors, not all shown by default. Thanks again.

Regarding the other error - I can't find the offending record in either my Standalone database or my online Library. There's nothing currently in the trash. Perhaps it is in queue somewhere? The notice persists in Zotero Standalone.

Didn't have Chrome installed, but happy to try to help. Installed, added connector, tried to repeat behavior. So far, the error condition has not appeared. Functionally, from my point of view, this is just as good - better really. I'll just use …

Closed Zotero, closed Firefox. Reopened Firefox, searched PubMed - problem gone (icon present, download successful). Opened Standalone, closed Firefox, reopened Firefox, searched PubMed, problem reappears (with Standalone open). Repeated this cycl…

Dan - I use Zotero Standalone with a connector from Firefox. I tried to help with a Debug ID, but as there is no download citation icon in Firefox in this condition, there is no way to trigger debugging - neither Zotero nor Firefox "knows" that I …

I do have it enabled. I suspect that it comes upon 1 such conflict and fails to proceed, and conflicts thereafter accumulate until I notice the orange icon and decide it is time to resolve them (generally when I notice I'm missing something I expec…

Your diagnosis is correct - it is the URL bar icon. I'll troubleshoot as you suggest next time this comes up. Thanks.

I have the same problem, intermittently, and it is not an issue of the Add On Bar, which is always on. Sometimes the Zotero simply never appears on pages with citations for which it should appear. Sometimes rebooting Windows fixes it, sometimes no…

Yay! I now have laptop, server & desktop synced, with 11186 records each and no complaints from sync. What seemed to get me over the hump was accepting remote, rather than local, version of conflicts.

2001994284 report id was generated by Zotero on latest sync attempt. Per its instructions, I opened a new dialog under that number and entered details. The Discussion dialog has appeared to discard all these comments - it appears to have 3 empty ent…

I have entered detailed comments twice before this for this error. Each time the dialog system appears to discard them.

This report number 2001994284 was generated by Zotero in relation to a sync error. It requested that I post here. I have been trying to sync a library on my laptop with the server for some time now, always with the same conflicts reported - 41…

I got the laptop and online library to agree on 11185 cases, after resolving 41 conflicts manually. Then sync with the desktop produced 41 conflicts, which I resolved manually. Then sync with the laptop produced 41 conflicts, and I stopped. When r…

99.99% done. I now have 11184 items online, 11185 on one computer (my laptop), 11183 on another (desktop at work). It has been in this state for several hours now. I don't now what the complete download you refer to may have been. I di…

No issue on my end. I did the Restore to Server 11 days ago, but haven't seen an effect, other than the clearing out of the old data. I've just turned on automatic syncing - we'll see if that does the trick.

10 days later, online library still empty. I can live without it - syncing standalone's on two computers works for me - but it is a bit curious. Am I looking at 10 more days, 10 more weeks, 10 more months?

Thanks Mark - it is nice to hear there's a light at the end of the tunnel. If I didn't believe this was true I wouldn't be trying so persistently. I really like the Zotero system. Thanks also to Dan and Adam for their patience and responsiven…

I have never received any error message about a queued upload. I tried looking for individual notes created by the RIS importer as you instructed, but could not discover any useful pattern - they were quite miscellaneous, and it would require m…

As you know, I've been having difficulty getting the my online library synced with my standalone installation. It occurred to me that my corporate firewall could be part of the problem. I just Reset to Server from outside the firewall. Please kil…

Sorry this is so much trouble. I'm willing to keep trying, and I appreciate your help. But, I want to avoid making another misstep. You reference 18,000 items on the server. When I look through a web browser, it reports 8889 items (and still has…
