Hi Dan, I am still having this problem. My server had moved, so I have now changed zotero so that it is pointing at the right place for the webdav server. but I still get the errors. Latest Error report ID: 1635989470 My computer help loca…

Thanks. Do you know what kind of problems/errors? Something I could say to the techies so they know what they are looking for? I take it that the "'I2TQ89CT" is probably the name of one of the attachment folders. I was wondering if the problem …

Many thanks Simon, that seems to have fixed it (the uninstall/reinstall). Keep up the good work! We all LOVE Zotero!

Here is an error report ID: 620311657 Here are the errors on the error console after following the steps on following start up errors: Error: gBrowser.addProgressListener was called with a second argument, which is not supported. See bu…

Simon (or anyone else) I have downloaded the release version of ff5, and the add on compatibility reporter and the PythonExt XPI - but have no luck in getting Zotero to start. Any ideas? I'm on a MacBookPro

thanks for the debug link. I did search for it, "how to debug" - nothing useful came up....
-
OK, figured out the debug (quite straightforward in the event). It appears that the folder which the file should be in does not exist on this computer. I suppose it must exist on the other computer in order for this issue to emerge. Any ad…

thanks. I'll see what I can do about this debugging. I think I downloaded these files on my other computer, which should have synced them to here using my webdav server setup. Hmmm. The knowledge base page does not appear to have a "how to debu…

OK, so now the picture looks more complicated. I have just renamed and pdf from metadata that I have previously worked on. It works fine. A bunch of PDF files that I recently downloaded however will not change. I highlight the file, click on th…

I should add that the "duplicate selected item" option is a useful time saver, but it really only goes part of the way. So i make an item that has journal name, date, volume, issue - duplicate it, say, in this case, 9 times (which you have to do one…
-
Hello Zotero, Is anyone working on this yet? Can anyone not see how useful it would be - having just spent god only knows how long having to edit references item by item, which could have just taken a few seconds if I could, you know, sele…
-
Yes, any news? This is a looooooooong time coming for something so crucial!!! I don't know how much time I waste changing items one by one.... Even iTunes can handle this!!! Not that I wish to dis Z., which I adore....

Thanks Dan. All fixed now. It turned out to be a matter of leaving firefox running for an hour or so while taking photos of the sun setting with rainbow over London.... best, ajl

For those of you doing a lot of reading on the ipad, this is what I do: Get iAnnotate, the PDF reader - the very best one (I'm not paid to say this!!). It has an accompanying server programme that you run from you Mac or PC to wirelessly uplo…

Is there any time line on when the magic 2.1 will appear? [Desperate for batch editing]

Many thanks for the effort. I shall grin and bear it until you guys are able to work your miracles!! ;-)

This is the URL I use: http://journals.cambridge.org.ezproxy.flinders.edu.au/action/displayJournal?jid=RIS except it comes complete with my library's proxy server in it. so, delete after".org" in the URL. If you do that you should get to the …

Thanks. Pity about that. The hanging seems to be related to indexing the pdfs. I run firefox on macbookpro, latest releases of firefox and zotero. Any news on the Cambridge Journals site?
-
This problem still has not been fixed with Palgrave MacMillan, and the problem with Cambridge University Press Journals still exists as well - neither are attaching or downloading PDF files to items. Is there any intention to work on these?
-
Anything new on this front? Would be really useful....
-
Terrific, thanks for that, and sorry for my ignorance!
-
I have problems with cambridge as well. It seems (to my non-technical mind) to be because of the way the site delivers PDFs in general - by loading a new webpage which has the PDF loaded in a special window within the page. You have to take a whole …

thanks Dan. Yes, it seems the problem is with the server, it doesn't verify. Should have checked there first. Thanks for your help and sorry to bother you! best, ajl

Hi Dan. First time I've done this, so not sure how it will go. In particular, Zotero has not given me any Debug ID number - or, at least, not obviously, and I don't know where to look. So, in case you didn't get the output, here it is...: [extra …

ok, well, that is what I thought I had done. So I have tried again. Here is a new error report number. I have not yet restarted firefix. Error report ID 1487358203 I'll be signing off soon as it is rapidly approaching midnight over here in…

it says a webdav file sync error has occured. asks to restart firefox and try again - have done so, but get the same message.

Hi Lizard - what do you mean by "pushed one of my machines to the server"? I'm only your average computer user, so my technical skills are limited.... thanks

Error report: 454568870 "Conponent returned failure code: OX8000400F" is part of the message that comes up when holding cursor over sync symbol. Background: - as previously reported, 2 computers, laptop mac and work PC; the laptop mac sync…
