Word for Mac is drastically slower than Word for Windows for what Zotero needs to do. We get very few complaints about the speed of Word integration on Windows, even with very large documents.

I'm using Word for Mac and the file has over 500 citations with 300 bibliographic entries. Inserting a citation takes a good 2 minutes. It is slow.

1) You should see an Add Note button in the word processor plugin toolbar. If you don't, reinstall the plugin from the Cite pane of the preferences.

Could you submit a Report ID? What version of Word (full version number) are you using? See debugging broken documents.

Yeah, sorry. This is a Word/Microsoft issue, even if Zotero triggers it. Zotero uses the integration points provided by Word, so even if using Zotero with Word triggers the crash, there's still nothin
