    The latest Zotero 7 beta features a major accessibility overhaul of the default citation dialog. It should now be fully usable via VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS, and keyboard usage is also now improved.

    I am trying to add a reference in google doc using NVDA and jaws. However, after on the quick reference page after I start typing the reference name the screen reader gets quiet.

    Check System Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → "Speak selection" to see if the feature is enabled, and click (i) to check the shortcut key assigned.

    We haven't tested with Kurzweil specifically, but we're working on accessibility improvements for Zotero 7 to make it work much better with screenreaders, so there's a good chance that will help.
