I just updated my Mac OS. Then Zotero begins to break down. I have to restart the Zotero to use it. It works once or twice then later breaks down again. It is really annoying. :(

The problem has got worse. I downloaded version 6.0.26, I installed it, but Word stopped communicating with Zoteo.

How large is the document? Does it work in a new, empty document? (the errors have nothing to do with Word integration).

Is this happening in a new document, or only in an existing one? Do you have any other plugins installed into Word that you could disable?

I don't think Zotero 7 will help much, I'm afraid. The software is much faster, but the bottleneck here is the connection to Word, which hasn't changed.

Same here. Reverting to 6.0.26 *and* reinstalling the Word plugin fixed it. My IT has reported it to Crowdstrike.

You're just hitting performance limits on Zotero with Word for Mac. While it works fine for article or chapter-length pieces, it's super slow in large documents (I believe improvements are planned). B
