Footnotes to Endnotes numbering issue

I'm trying to change footnotes to endnotes in Word on a Mac, when I make the change the numbering all switches from Arabic to small Roman numerals. Is there a way to fix that?

It's a Word setting, independent of Zotero, should be easy to google for your Word version
