Every time I try to add citations on Google Docs, it takes me to the Zotero app but the dialog box to choose which document I want to cite does not appear.

As explained, other options are using LibreOffice or Word on Windows, if possible. Google Docs is not an option and is prone to a slowness due to technical reasons out of our hands.
