What word processor?

I am using Zotero with MS Word on a Mac.

The word processor is MS Word for 365. Interestingly, initials are added properly when I cite them in a new document.

You are running a Beta build of Word. You should opt out of that and make sure you are running the most up-to-date version.

If this is a company computer you should report this to your IT. Group policy or proprietary security solutions are most likely interfering with ability of Word to communicate with Zotero

I'm not sure what you mean here. A word document doesn't really have anything to do with syncing, and it certainly doesn't have anything to do with file storage space.

Sorry for the trouble. Recent versions of Word for Windows have had some stability issues with Zotero. If your document has a table of contents you should remove it and see if it works then. If it doe
