Word 365 and zotero 6/7

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble connecting Word 365 with Zotero. I initially tried with Zotero 6, but the dialogue box to connect never opened. Hoping to solve the issue, I installed Zotero 7, but unfortunately, I'm experiencing the same problem.

I've followed the procedure outlined in the manual installation guide (https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_manual_installation), but nothing seems to be working.

I'm running out of solutions and would really appreciate any help or advice. Has anyone else encountered this issue and found a workaround?

You're saying you're clicking Add/Edit Citation and nothing is happening? Is that the case in a new, empty document?

If this is Windows, see https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#error_or_non-responsive_plugin_buttons, up to and including the last step of deleting Zotero.dotm and confirming that the plugin is gone completely from Word.

If it still happens, can you provide a Debug ID for reproducing this?

2) That's a Report ID. See my link for providing a Debug ID.

Hi I confirm that I deleted the Zotero. dotm. I reinstalled the pluggin.

Could you restart your computer and confirm that neither Word nor Zotero runs as Administrator?

Hi confirm that both software are NOT run as administrator. My computer is a company computer and we do not have admin rights

If this is a company computer you should report this to your IT. Group policy or proprietary security solutions are most likely interfering with ability of Word to communicate with Zotero
