It is non responsive for me on a 14 page document. I don't think that is especially long.

My doctoral thesis was over 200 pages with citations to 410 references. At the end it certainly wasn't fast but it did remain responsive. This was long ago on a slower computer with a slower version of Zotero.
What version of Zotero?
What computer operating system and version?
What word processor?
Please better describe what you mean by "non-responsive ".
What actions did you take before the program became non-responsive?
