That is a feature of the Zotfile plugin. Install Zotfile from http://zotfile.com, then right click on the item and choose Manage Attachments→Extract annotations

However, in a previous post in this forum it is mentioned that Zotetz2 supports directories created by Zotfile. I don't know if there is any issue to obtain the attachments' path with Zotero API.

Zotero itself has nothing to do with OneDrive, and no knowledge of it. It's possible you configured the third-party ZotFile extension to convert new attachments to linked files stored elsewhere on you

large notes (but those might also be from, say, ZotFile ToC extraction).

Rename syntax seems to have bugs in current ZotFile version (5.0.10) which previous worked fine in earlier editions (sorry, new computer, not sure of which earlier Zotfile version I had)

I've followed @alex.mitrani instructions and used Zotfile to store all my pdf files on OneDrive and that worked well! On my personal computer I have stored the files in the following location 'users/A
