@adomasven This is happening to me as well. I click "Add citation" in google docs and the citation entry box opens immediately. I search for my citation and click enter. The superscript immediately po

  4. reporting troubleshooting in document transfer, as per instructions

    by dstillman · December 4, 2020
I'm not able to reproduce this. I can transfer a document to Google Docs, restore citations, click Add/Edit Citation on a citation, and add a second citation to an existing one. Nothing becomes unlink

Oh. Less cheerful update: it didn't work importing it into google docs. The document was full of crazy citation gobbledigook, and when I tried to do Zotero Document Preferences or Convert Wordprocesso
  7. reporting troubleshooting in document transfer, as per instructions

    by sigfried · December 3, 2020
I got an error while trying to convert for transfer a document stored on onedrive (but on my Mac, not Windows) for use on google docs. The error gave me a link to https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/deb
  8. How big can a library get?

    by adamsmith · December 3, 2020
I'm seeing that even with a smaller library (~10k parents spread across multiple groups), particularly on slower machines and worse on google docs.
  9. Google docs - citations spontaneously unlinking

    by dstillman · December 3, 2020
You keep providing Report IDs from the Zotero Connector and Debug IDs from Zotero. Those aren't useful. Again, we need a Debug ID from the Zotero Connector for this problem occurring with "Google Docs
  10. Google docs - citations spontaneously unlinking

    by dstillman · December 2, 2020
@devrajoy: Note that that's not a Debug ID, and "Google Docs Offline" is still installed. (We can't tell if it's enabled from the Report ID alone.) See what I said above: You still have the Google Doc
  11. Zotero not working in Google docs

    by adomasven · December 2, 2020
Do you have any other extensions related to Google Docs installed in your browser? You should start by disabling them and restarting the browser. If it does not help provide a Report ID.
  12. Zotero not working in Google docs

    by ccoetsee · December 2, 2020
I can see the Zotero button when I open my google doc but when I click on it, nothing happens. Do I need to do anything else to be able to use it?
  13. Google docs - citations spontaneously unlinking

    by dstillman · November 29, 2020
You still have the Google Docs Offline extension installed there. If you've disabled it, you should restart Chrome and provide another Debug ID for any error you're getting with that disabled.

    by dstillman · November 29, 2020
It says specifically "disable the Track Changes feature in Word/LibreOffice" — nothing to do with Google Docs. (It's also no longer likely to be an issue in Word.)

Zotero and Zotfile's current settings can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NdKJJ0U6uqafy1gU-616vHl76mm_Rw8BIEnqCxhjFso/edit?usp=sharing
  17. Google docs - citations spontaneously unlinking

    by dstillman · November 29, 2020
No, that's not relevant. Once they're unlinked, they're unlinked and would need to be manually relinked by you. The question is whether you can still reproduce this problem of working citations (that
  18. Google docs - citations spontaneously unlinking

    by dstillman · November 29, 2020
@mihussai, @mstyang, @devrajoy: You all have Google's "Google Docs Offline" extension installed. If you disable that and reload Google Docs, are you still able to reproduce this problem?
  19. Copying text with citations from one google doc to another

    by dstillman · November 26, 2020
The links should not be broken as long as you both have the Zotero Connector installed and enabled (with the "Zotero" menu showing in Google Docs).
  20. Google docs - citations spontaneously unlinking

    by adomasven · November 25, 2020
Can you use the Google Docs version history to see whether there was some sort of big edit to that part of the document at some point? Note that the point at which the unlinked citations appeared is n
