No, you're just misunderstanding the built-in PDF reader. It has its own, built-in extraction feature that's more advanced than Zotfile's. That's why I said there's no use case for that functionality.

We can't help with ZotFile issues, but this sounds like some kind of misunderstanding. Show File won't work if the file is missing — it will just show an error that the file doesn't exist. Your debug

Yes, I use zotfile with google drive. If I upload all my pdf files into google drive and add/link to zotero, my 300MB will not be touch, right?

Zotfile’s rename function is under the Manage Attachments menu. It can also be set to be automatic on import.

These are errors from ZotFile, not Zotero. Disable ZotFile and try again.

Are you using ZotFile? If you created linked files, those don't sync via Zotero.
