    Option-1 (macOS) or Alt-1 (windows/linux) selects the annotation highlight tool in the PDF reader. But afaik, there’s no keyboard shortcut that will highlight the selected text in the PDF reader. imo

    Again, this is available via Mouse in the Go menu (I do think it's be nice if that would specify the keyboard shortcut next to it, but I believe that's hard to do for a cross-platform app)
