Thanks a lot for the quick fix, this seems fine now!
-
Neat, thanks. As far as I can see, the resolution of the pen is not increased, but instead at the end of each strokes the stroke is smoothed. This improved annotation a bit, but it is still far below the Apple Pencil experience with Zotero and also …

@martynas_b thanks. Unfortunately, Space and Shift+Space don't give the same as j/k. When a PDF is zoomed in such that say only the top half of it is visible, then space will go to the lower half first, before going to the top half of the next page.…

I tried the pen annotations on MacOS using an iPad with Apple Pencil as an external display with Pen Input. It works, but the pen resolution is very low (that is, the paths rendered only have very few points and look jagged), compared to other MacOS…

Thanks, I hadn’t seen that. A workaround could be to put Zotero links as unformatted text and tell your OS to make text clickable.
-
Thanks, yes, it was in the beta, and seems fixed now.

I still find it uncontrollable which of the two events is triggered, can we add an option to disable this behaviour completely? I just want to drag-drop without changing collection
-
I would love this as well. One way that would be more general would be to integrate Koreader. Koreader runs on the remarkable as well (although no handwritten annotations are possible) and someone is working on a Zotero integration https://www.mobil…

You can use j/k instead for previous/next page
-
Wow thanks!
-
It would be nice to have a previous page/next page button on Mac. Currently, left arrow and right arrow do this, but only when zoomed out sufficiently, while in zoom mode they pan.
-
Thanks, that would be a great feature! I've followed dstillman's suggestion -many thanks for that as well. It worked fine, but of course this way I loose the connections between the text and citations. What would be cool is if the text could be ret…

I liked the rotate view option- it allowed me to rotate my laptop and read it like a book, without modifying the pdf. Can we bring it back?
-
Thanks, that's useful. An annotation column would be great!
-
Thanks for the quick answer! I should clarify that I’m using the built-in PDF annotation feature, so my annotations are not automatically turned into notes.
-
Thanks. That looks indeed like quite a bit of work. Given that this would be most natural way to write a review paper or introduction I hope the Zotero team will come up with a more streamlined process.
-
What kind of work? You mean writing a script?
-
That fixed it for me. Many thanks for the very quick update!
-
Thanks for the quick answer! I can wait a bit.
-
Thanks for letting me know!

Thanks. It seems the new beta has what I needed (it finds tagged annotations). Better notes looks great, but I already find it annoying now that the iOS version does not support links and images in notes, so rather than enhancing the desktop functio…

Thanks for the fast fix, it works fine now. And ok, understood, sorry.

I could reproduce this on another device (Mac): sync library, unfiled folder empty. Update, then suddenly lots of unfiled items, even though they are actually in folders. @dstillman ?
-
@hsiangyu_wong is there a way to preview PDF files which do not have Parent Items?
-
@dstillman would it be possible when searching for a tag in the search field "All Fields and Tags" to show not only the entries which have been tagged with the search string, but also the entries which contain annotations which have been tagged with…
-
@hsiangyu_wong what I had in mind is seeing the first pages of multiple files at ones. Think of the icon view in a file manager, with icons large enough. Or calibre's cover view, https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-sukuK5_MtvA/UhNtm6acNhI/AAAAAAAAAN…
-
@dstillman do you think the reader could also add pages? This can be useful to add a missing cover or to add a blank page for further remarks and handwritten annotations?
-
Thanks @hsiangyu_wong I very much like the preview of annotations! Do you think a cover view is also possible? Where instead of a list of entries, we see a grid of all the first pages of the previews? Please apologise if I put in so many requests he…
-
@hsiangyu_wong great work and thanks for fixing the memory issue. Is there a way to preview the highlights on the file as well?
-
Oh, I never realised that you can use the arrow keys when Quick Look is open :) Mac has also the "Show as gallery" option, and also the "show preview" option which puts a preview in the right side bar.
