You should post to the ZotFile support thread to make sure that the developer reads it. http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/5301/zotfile-zotero-plugin-to-rename-move-and-attach-pdfs-send-them-to-ipad-extract-pdf-annotations/

Dropbox is almost never the best option for you. If you value your time, but absolutely do not want to support Zotero development by subscribing to a storage plan, you should sign up for a free WebDAV service instead.

The one feature missing that still frustrates me a little is not being able to see if there are annotations without opening a pdf in another application. This can lead to confusion and losing track of documents. Fortunately, my workflow has a tag fo…

The indexing only checks a small number of pages from the beginning of the document. The default is 100 and can be changed in the Zotero preferences.

ZotPad 1.2 is now available in the App Store. This is a major update that improves performance and stability and adds important features. The main new user-visible features in the 1.2 version are - Filtering the item list by tags and editing tags -…

Check these instructions http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#toolbar_does_not_appear_in_word_20042011_or_is_incompatible Are the script menu entries for Zotero available? Also, check the menu View -> Toolbars. Is…

There is no easy fix. If you are a developer, you might be able to fix it by manipulating the Zotero database directly.
-
The attachments are zipped regardless of which webdav service you use. As far as I know, phpZoteroWebDAV will unzip these for you.

If you are using the same username on both computers, yes this would be possible. But considering that you could just leave the computer on over the night and just let it sync normally, I do not see really an advantage in doing what you suggest. Yo…

You could try to find the paper that has the reference list from a cross citation database and import the list of references from there. (E.g. ISI, Scopus, etc)
-
It works just fine for me. Here is an example using "Harvard reference format 1" style. (Bourgeois & Eisenhardt 1988, p.10) Bourgeois, L.J. & Eisenhardt, K.M., 1988. Strategic Decision Processes in High Velocity Environments: Four Cases …

This does not work in the classic citation dialog. You have to use the "Multiple sources" button. (Mac and Word 2011)

The version 1.2 will be released soon after final testing is completed. This version will be a major update bringing new features and adding more robust implementations of existing features. If you want to get a preview, the user manual is availabl…

Helenvo: you need to start a new thread and explain in as much detail as possible what the problem is. What are you trying to do, which browser you are using and which Zotero version.
-
This has not been implemented. What is the prroblem that you are trying to solve by linking the reference from text to the bibliography? You can inspect the full reference by editing the citation.
-
Use zotfile for that http://zotpad.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/111706-what-is-the-difference-between-stored-files-linke

You should hide field codes. I do not know which version of word you are using, but google word field codes hide will give you instructions on how to do this for any version.
-
You should generally not edit the bibliography directly. This makes manual exceptions to automatically generated list. For example it can prevent a citation from appearing. You should choose "revert all" now. http://www.zotero.org/support/word_proc…

No, not yet.

You might find symbolic links useful. I wrote this for zotpad users, but it will probably apply to you as well http://zotpad.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/103395-what-is-a-symbolic-link-and-why-should-i-use-one-w

Namah_h: please see the comments and links in earlier posts about the issue. The problem did not occur during my testing and I do not have a windows computer at the moment, so there is nothing that I can do to help. It is probably a Firefox bug, so …

Yes. This is encouraged, see https://www.zotero.org/getinvolved/

More generally, new feature releases are released when they are ready and thoroughly tested. However, if there are bugs that cause crashes, these will be fixed in maintenance releases as soon as possible. If you get a crash, you should contact ZotPa…

Please use the ''contact support" feature in the app to send a support request. There will be a new version (1.2) probably by the end of the year and one maintenance release (1.1.2) before that.

There is a patch for disabling libraries. You can see here why it was not accepted. http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/19350/option-to-disable-libraries/

I wonder now what exactly happens when you manipulate zotero items in Zotpad. This depends on your configuration, and the answer is probably not very interesting. When you edit a file on the iPad and send it back to ZotPad, it is place in an upload…

Quick look from citations is currently implemented only for Mac Word. I do not know how much work it would be to implement it for Windows. Please make a feature request at the ZQL github page, and I will take a look on it. I am currently traveling, …

The price of half a liter of beer in Helsinki is about 7USD (http://www.pintprice.com/region.php?/Finland/USD.htm), which is approximately what Apple pays for ZotPad after taking the 30% cut. Now, If I were to pay salary from ZotPad instead of savin…

Seems that the problems have been solved. However, because this thread will likely com up with searches, I want to add one more thing: Using Dropbox to synchronize Zotero files is a bad idea. You should almost always use WebDAV instead. Even if yo…

Peter: The instructions do not say that you should use the script editor. Just run it using the Terminal.app Or paste the following code to terminal.app: curl -O https://raw.github.com/mronkko/ZotPad/master/ZotPad/link_zotero_mac_unix.sh chmod a+…
