It doesn't look like you're saving a snapshot at all in your Scaffold output. Would you be able to paste the code you use to add the attachment in a tag here or a GitHub Gist?

Make sure View -> Show Items from Subcollections is enabled. Search results from subcollections won’t be shown if it isn’t.

@thebittenpeach: What are you trying to accomplish? You don't need to (and can't) add letters in the date field manually. If two items appear the same in in-text citations, a/b/c/etc. will be inserted after the year automatically.
