Thanks! We added a heuristic to disable theming on pages with a lot of style code, but it was a little overly conservative. Fixed in the next beta.
-
Thanks, this will be fixed in the next beta/release. (For what it's worth, though, that EPUB is very broken. I imagine it's a hard book to translate into ebook form, but I would recommend looking for a different edition if one is available.)
-
Click the Appearance ("Aa" icon) toolbar button and check "Use original font". (Or select your own favorite font in Zotero settings -> General -> Reader -> Ebook font.) The color issue is harder - ebooks usually can't be trusted to set the…

Can you provide a Connector Debug ID for that?
-
Each input box has a maximum width, and when it exceeds that width, its text is ellipsized: overflowing characters are chopped off and "…," is added to the last name, "…" to the first name. In many cases, though, there isn't a perfect fit: If the te…
-
@DonnaCoxBaker: Can you post some Amazon/B&N URLs that are failing for you? Or better, Connector Debug IDs for the save attempts.
-
@AlexJJJ: Thanks for sending the snapshot in. This has already been fixed in the current beta and will be fixed in the next release.
-
(As far as I know, Web of Science doesn't host any PDFs on its own, so when you do get a PDF, it's because Zotero looked up the DOI and found one. It could be that Zotero just can't find anything for the item you're trying to save.)
-
@alex_pereira: Please let me know which of the specific results on that page no longer gives you a PDF.
-
@PiaP: Please give an example URL that's failing.
-
@alex_pereira: Does it still show that if you follow the instructions above? (Update translators manually from the Advanced pane of the Zotero settings.) If so, we’ll need the exact URL of the page where you’re getting an error.
-
(1) and (2) can be simplified - just right-click the tab and select Show in Library. What do you mean by "a functional pdf.js print menu"?
-
@PiaP: PS. Now the connector does not seem to be able to connect with Zotero (desktop version). “The Zotero Connector was unable to communicate with the Zotero desktop application.” My Zotero is open and closed and opened the browser again. Try the…

Thanks! I was able to reproduce an error when saving the third result on that page ("Determinants of working poverty in Indonesia"). Should now be fixed. Your Zotero Connector should auto-update within a few minutes, or you can you can update transl…

We always need a URL to diagnose translator issues. What's the exact URL of the Web of Science page you were trying to save?
-
As far as I know, all major operating systems / desktop environments have some kind of window tiling feature built in now. You can normally engage it by dragging a window to one of the edges or corners of the screen.
-
Sorry, I can't reproduce this. Can you send the snapshot HTML file to support@zotero.org and include a link to this thread? You can locate it on disk by right-clicking and choosing Show in Finder. (The reader doesn't run any page JavaScript, so thi…

@bennett.smith: Thanks - this issue will be fixed in the next beta/release.
-
Thanks, I can reproduce that.
-
@nicolas.lienart: Can you provide steps to reproduce that issue? And does it still occur if you run Zotero with all plugins disabled (Help -> Restart in Troubleshooting Mode...)?
-
Just pushed a new version of the translator. Your Zotero Connector should auto-update within a few minutes, or you can you can update translators manually from the Advanced pane of the Zotero settings. Can you try it out and see if it works for you?
-
It does, and it has since the first beta with EPUB support. What do you see when you open the View menu in an EPUB?
-
1. Open Zotero preferences, and under General -> Appearance and Language, check what Color Scheme is set to. If it's Automatic, change it to Dark and see if that changes anything. 2. Restart in Troubleshooting Mode (Help -> Restart in Trouble…
-
(An upcoming release will have a nicer interface for changing these settings, but the View menu options will still work.)
-
Both of these are already supported. View -> Scrolled for continuous; View -> Paginated and then View -> Odd Spreads for side-by-side.
-
You would run your search on the library’s site. When you’re on a search results page, the Zotero Connector toolbar button should display a folder icon; click it and choose which items to add.
-
And the next beta will include a heuristic to disable theming on pages with a lot of styles (like that one).

Snapshotting old.reddit.com should work much better.

Thanks, this will be fixed in the next beta/release. (The style code that adds the red background goes all the way back to Zotero 1.0, somehow, but it doesn't seem like we've ever gotten a report about this before.)
