Very weird, I just wanted to get the debug id on iPhone, and as soon as I did this with the debugging on, it worked! Sorry for the misunderstanding and just look away.

This is embarrassing, but of course that helped. I have not had any problems with that add-on before. I will contact the creator of the plugin. Thank you so much for all your help and effort!!

I have done it now, but unfortunately I can't get a Better BibTex debug ID, since I am not able to open Zotero with Add-ons.

It happened again. What error message do you want? Is this a case for @emilianoeheyns or @dstillman ? I already did a log through the terminal that I have send to Zotero's help mail. There is also the Mac System Error Message i get everytime it happ…

Since it doesn't crash in safe mode, i guess it must be some add-on that intervenes in some way - as I have said before, it happens after BetterBib says that key manager is ready

It happened again and this time it didn't work opening Zotero in Safe Mode and then open it again. This time I also removed some of the add-ons I had installed while in safe mode, but it still crashes every time I open it.

Aha, I see now - pardon and thank you for your patience. :) Would it be possible to add this as a feature request then? To automatically rename the pdf in the library as well?

Yeah I see that now, so there is a function in the settings called "Automatically rename attachment files using parent metadata", but that is just what I wrote about that it is not doing. This is PDFs I am talking about.

Yes, so it does create a parent with all the metadata, and then the pdf. But the pdf is not renamed based on the parent file before I press "rename file from parent metadata"

Thank you - found it! And it was already set to the right preference. But another question, extension.zotero.autoRenameFiles is set to true, but Zotero doesn't rename the pdfs when I add them via the safari extension.

Thank you. I have experienced some weird behaviour from the share sheet with other apps as you say. Hope Apple fix it soon!!
