I'm just as mystified. You are correct that I have done some strange troubleshooting, precisely because, for files first downloaded by hand because Zotero wasn't finding them in bulk, I first added them them as stored files to the Downloads directo…

At first I downloaded files that Zotero was not finding articles for one by one. After finding out that files that I had added locally on a home computer were not auto-uploading to the cloud, I spent a few hours downloading them again one by one, a…

I have unlimited storage and am trying to download to a computer with adequate space.

I tend to use fairly long filenames. Perhaps this a problem? I noticed that there were issues with that that appeared to be solved several years ago.

It looks OK now. I think the reason why the conversion from linked to stored is greyed out now is because I have all of the actual files now. Thanks.

The conversion from linked to stored is greyed out. I know that when I saved .rdf's on my work computer yesterday that the references that I had downloaded on the work computer were not included in the .rdf as stored files. The references that I h…

Despite re-loading the entire database after changing the Zotero account on this computer from my daughter's account to mine, I still am unable to convert links to stored files on the daughter's former (now my home) computer, but I am no longer havi…

Having a Debug ID presumes that a popup appears, but it didn't before. Now it is popping up as D1478309212.

I went into the preferences, and changed the syncing so that it goes to my account instead of my daughter's account. It is somewhat scary to think that I am going to have to delete the Zotero data from this computer to do so, but that is what is no…

There is no debug ID for this, but I think that even though I am syncing up with my account, I am doing so from a computer that I inherited from my daughter who had installed Zotero for her own use. This would explain why Zotero is thinking that I …

I got the message about not being able to convert linked files to stored files tonight despite paying for unlimited storage for a few years. When I came home to my home computer, I got a triangle with an exclamation point in it saying that I had ex…

Now that I don't have public open groups enabled, most, but not all, of the attachments are dragging and dropping correctly. The problem is small enough, however, that I'll deal with it. Thanks for the help, Jim Brenner

Is the problem that I have attachment files stored on two different computers? Some files with some directories did actually transfer. They probably are ones that are locally stored that I downloaded individually myself instead of having Zotero su…

Several hours after I sent this I now do see the Notes showing up online that I typed in last night and this AM on my home computer. I had to turn off the Zotero app on the work computer in order to complete the process successfully. Thanks.

The notes are just typed into the Notes tab with individual items in subcollections of my personal library, but shortly I do plan to move a major part of my personal library to a group library. There are no graphics.

Yes, it is a less obvious problem, but one that Zotero ought to correct if it wants to create value for its customers. Wiley and all the publishers have active measures to prevent downloading of many articles simultaneously. This makes Zotero's us…

If I go through a proxy manually, the download works perfectly, but when trying to download many articles at once, the proxy redirects to the abstract, not to the .pdf file, meaning that I have to download each article one by one. When you are writ…

The annotations are Zotero notes. I don't write on .pdf's electronically.

An example like this: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/gcb.15379 redirects to https://onlinelibrary-wiley-com.portal.lib.fit.edu/doi/full/10.1111/gcb.15379 but should go instead to https://onlinelibrary-wiley-com.portal.lib.fit.edu/d…

After at least seven years, Zotero has not solved the import issue for American Chemical Society (non-ACS) journals, despite Zotero thinking so. The problem is that to get to the .pdf download, there needs to be a /pdf after the normal proxy change…
