Thanks, something like this was my impression. I'd been trying to configure a local markdown / pandoc-based workflow, but to be honest my actual subject matter tends to monopolise the part of my brain which would otherwise figure out how to insert a…

I think what I am trying to wrap my head around is Scrivener's not facilitating it in even the simplest way possible: what would that facilitation look like? (I happen to have just moved to Cornwall UK, where L&L are based: perhaps this is just …

I've been led to believe that there are ways to do more robust citation which allows for things like page numbers, etc., in Scrivener that works for other citation managers, but not for Zotero. As I'm barely smart enough to do what I do (if that), I…

Could we have an update on the obstacles for getting Zotero and Scrivener to work together more smoothly in an RTF Scan workflow? There seems to be some bad blood between the development teams obstructing a more elegant solution.
-
This is no longer relevant, as Dropbox has migrated all embedded Google documents back to Google-hosted versions, and replaced them with linke. Zotero works fine with them.
-
We understand that development priorities are not determined by forum advocacies, but I think it may be useful to emphasise just to what extent EPUBs are getting integrated into the digital academic publishing ecosystem in some disciplines: Sage Jou…

Thanks for the clarification!

Might someone be able to describe, or direct me to a description of, a workflow using Scrivener and quick copy / Zotero-links (rather than the Better BibTex dependent workflow I am using now?) A workflow that still results in a .docx with live Zoter…

Reviving this as a suggestion: getting closer to doing all my reading and annotation in Zotero, but I do have a lot of .epubs (and .mobis).

This article presents an interesting use-case: the HTML article cannot be capture for some reason. https://journal.transformativeworks.org/index.php/twc/article/view/436

Forgive me for reviving this long-dead thread. I used the searchByExample and I can't find the right one, either.

Forgive me for reviving this thread, but I'm thinking there may be room for considering this in the development of CSL. There's a very good paper on this subject here: http://www.digra.org/digital-library/publications/how-to-reference-a-digital-game…

If it's not too much to ask, I'd encourage you to keep working on the server, as I find Calibre less than ideal.

Given that there is now discussion about Zotero 6.0 (and this thread is about a decade old, with the discussion of 5.1 being about six years old) - will 5.1 simply be skipped and the changes rolled into 6.0?
-
This would be a useful feature, as many of the monographs in my library are ePUBs.

"Software" is really a strange fit for a digital game, to be honest, because the consensus is that games are designed, rather than programmed: the programming is almost never given anything like auteurist status. (The question of auteurism in games …

There isn't an "author" type in software in any case: if we did use that method, what item type would be advised? ("Developer" is usually a collective entity, e.g. a studio, so they would be in full-name format.)
-
That's sort of a hack: I'd as soon just hand-edit the bibliography after generating it.
-
That seems to be part of the style, at least based on the guidance from the editors.

Is in-line citation using a citekey on iOS in the works?
-
@stevesimmons I concur that there needs to be a tier between 6GB and unlimited: I'm at about 8GB now, have been paying for unlimited for a few years but budget is tightening. At least there's movement on the iPad front, and I would like to continue …
-
@adamsmith I do hope that this can be streamlined and a robust text placeholder mechanism with citekeys be developed. Unlike some of the other feature requests and wishlists, it would seem straightforward enough. But it feels like we're getting ther…

You need to open the ODT in LibreOffice or convert it to a DOCX file.

What would it take to make a Scannable Cite (pseudo) citation style for just this purpose?
-
My personal preference is not-global, so I do prefer your solution: I could imagine combining the two to make the global hot-key a toggled option. I wouldn't ask for this to become part of Zotero itself, but integrating a few of these tools into a …

I've been using the citation picker here - https://github.com/AmomentOfMusic/Zotero_scrivener_picker_windows - with Better Bibtex and Scannable Cite; that's the one I had in mind. I think there are a couple of others as well. Edit: From the Scrive…

Wonderful news and a bit of a relief.

I paid for unlimited storage for the past few years, but unfortunately have to stop this year. Given that my file access now relies on sharing attachments to my iPad via ZotFile from a single desktop, it makes more sense to use my money to pay for …

Hi bwiernik, I had been doing that, but it relies on my knowing what I want to have available while at desktop. As more and more of my writing workflow is on the iPad, it makes less sense, especially as I am already paying for 2TB of Dropbox storage.
