Can I suggest that there is a separate topic for announcements about the app (including when new slots are available) where only the developers can post - so we can subscribe to that topic separately.

Yes - that helps! https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u5124269/g74oucvzqwmnf3ogz12f.png Example of selection that ends at the beginning of a row, with the popup far from the cursor. https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forum…

Thank you - that would be a good approach. I saw the notification that there was an issue with the connection but I was hoping that everything would be uploaded when I got reconnected. In my case, that didn't get tested as unfortunately the page re…

Yeah, this conversation should probably be moved as it's not about the Zotero beta Android app anymore. My previous comment was about using Firefox instead of the app, which I don't have yet so I can't compare or comment on yet. This'll be my last c…

Just a note on using the web version (on Boox). I just lost several pages of annotations when I was temporarily disconnected from the internet (a flight). While disconnected, I was able to continue working on reviewing, annotating and commenting on…

I'm actually running the web version through Firefox/Fennec on my Boox and it's working quite well. It's not offline downloaded, but I have no problem working with, reading and annotating PDFs in the Zotero storage.

@slow500 Sorry, I'm not actually using OneNote with Zotero - I don't even have Zotero on my Boox (Zotero team, please open up more slots! :) ), I just use OneNote as OneNote, especially making notes during meetings and trainings. I understand how w…

@slow500 It should absolutely be possible for the team to build Option 1, and it's possibly simpler to build and maintain than their own pdf reader/editor. But various reasons, the team has decided that they do want to build and maintain their own p…

@slow500 I understand from previous comments here that this is how the Boox works for all apps except their own NeoReader and OneNote (I have a Boox myself and very keen to get it to work, but I'm not in the Zotero beta yet). I believe there are t…

I see, I was hoping to be able to format that text (inserting a space, making it italics). I understand it's possible to do manually ( etc), so I'll just have to train the people doing it if it can't be included in the CSL. Thanks!

I use this PowerShell script to convert pre-prepared excel->csv files into RIS files for further import. Basically I pick the fields I want from the CSV and add or concatenate the appropriate RIS fields. Then I import the RIS file. I use those pa…

Hi - the use case is to have a group of people work together on a library of files and for security reasons the comments and annotations can't touch the internet. The alternative is paper notebooks and I was looking for ways to improve that :) Ther…

@eversdavid I found this as the official list of item types (note that they are case sensitive) : https://api.zotero.org/itemTypes It doesn't have all the itemtypes in JurisM though

Wohoo, I changed my windows settings to region "English (Sweden)" (which I don't think I knew even existed) and changed Zotero back to Automatic, and not the date and times show up the way I want them. I.e. it seems Javascript will follow the top l…

In Firefox: 1. No locale: 20/10/2018 2. With locale 'en-GB': 20/10/2018 3. toDateString(): Sat Oct 20 2018 4. navigator.languages: en-GB,en It doesn't seem like JavaScript (in FF at least) follows the specific computer settings.

Maybe Zotero is using the general regional settings of the system, without using the specific date settings of the system? As it doesn't change when I change the Zotero language.
-
Ah, of course, that wasn't clear. I'm not talking about the editable date fields in the items, this is about the automatic fields, such as date added/modified - and how they are displayed in the UI. Fields like date published are very flexible and …

Hi, thanks for responding. Steps to reproduce: Windows OS regional settings are set to to English (UK) and date settings adjusted to yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm. Zotero (/Juris-M) is set to Automatic (English). Expected behaviour: Zotero displays dates in l…

Hi, How do I get Zotero to respect the OS settings regarding time and date? I don't want Zotero to reinterprete regional, locale settings, I just want Zotero to follow what I have configured in my operating system.
