I think that for PDFs your work-around might work reasonably well. ePubs might be a problem though, because often they do not contain proper page numbers and getting annotations into Zotero might be somewhat more difficult, because they are not st…

Moving the tabs via the right click menu still works btw.
-
Possibly related: After a triple click selection it is not possible to replace the selected text by starting to type. Replacing text after selecting it using the mouse is possible. (I'm using the current Z7 Beta).
-
It only occurs with the most recently created annotation in a document - highlighting a word or phrase in an older annotation does not lead to the cursor jumping. As far as I can see it happens for all newly created annotations (I don't know how I…

Thanks, that was it!

Perfect, thank you!

I've created a screencast and uploaded it here: https://heibox.uni-heidelberg.de/f/714d84734c1c4567b9b9/?dl=1 To reproduce: 1. Open Zotero with several tabs oben 2. Close one tab. Zotero will now jump to another text 3. The right-hand pane will now…

Thanks - however the problem (or some variation of it) still seems to exist - when closing a tab, the righthand pane in the now newly rightmost tab remains empty in the current beta. Debug-ID: D1714802936

Yup, just wanted to report the same problem (Kubuntu 23.04, Plasma 5.27.4.) - the beta is running but nothing happens when clicking any Zotero icon in the LO toolbar.
-
Perfect, thank you!
-
The problem persists in the Z7 beta - it would be great if it was possible to automatically escape the * when the note editor's language is set to German.
-
Thank you!
-
I'm sorry, I didn't realize the feature was already implemented, I think my desktop configuration was the problem.
-
Thank you! If it is of any help I can also send you a pdf where the problem occurs.
-
Perfect, looking forward to Zotero 7!

Which citation style have you picked in the document preferences (https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage#document_preferences)? It sounds like you might have chosen one that uses all caps citations.
-

Try clicking "Add/Edit Citation". "Add Note" is for importing notes that you have written in Zotero (which you apparently haven't done yet).

Yes, I can see that. I'm using two screens and usually have Zotero open on one and LibreOffice on the other, which is why I'll usually cite the item that I'm currently viewing in the PDF viewer. I have no idea if others are using the program in a si…

Thank you for the nice new feature! I think it would be very useful if the split screen view could remember the last page location on which it was opened to allow hiding it when it isn't needed (currently after hiding and re-enabling it, it shows th…

I have the same problem. To reproduce type the valid German sentence: Die Schüler*innen und Lehrer*innen gehen zur Schule. Zotero will italicize everything between the two asterisks and will hide the asterisks. You can undo this by pressing Ctrl+Z…

I want to also add a vote for @tim820 's idea of including an easy way to also split of PDF pages when creating a book section from a book. At the moment I do this with an external app, but it would be quite elegant if that was possible in Zotero it…

I'd love this. My current workaround is that I make a rectangular selection in the reference section which at least allows me to jump there quickly through the annotation pane.
-
If drag&drop is not possible, would it be possible to export notes to markdown with citations converted to citekeys? I had a look at the MDNotes documentation but was not sure, whether this was possible.

3112 entries - I've been using Zotero for around 5 years now, I think.
-
Because I quite often accidentally click the Zotero Connector icon in firefox, a "Cancel" or "Undo" option would still be much appreciated.

Have you updated to 6.0.12 - tab scrolling was introduced in this version.
