How do I change the date abbreviations first? I'm not sure I want to risk the citation abbreviations. When do you expect an upgrade that can handle batch editing of entries?

Does CMS specify they want the date the website was created in the citation? I have never seen that in a published work, only the "accessed date..."

MS Word controls whether numbering starts from 1 with each new chapter. Zotero controls whether a citation is the first or not the first in the document. But Zotero cannot detect if it is the first in the document section? Is that what I'm being …

I'm sorry but I don't follow: do I need to change the defaults in Word? I thought I was working within a template that defined endnotes in the style indicated. Zotero seems to override these preferences.
