Hmm, can you post the other browser.link.open_newwindow values that you have set? browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction = 2 is what I have and everything is working properly, but since this property dictates what other browser.link.open_newwindow …

I don't think "disables itself" is the correct assumption here. I'm not aware of any code in Zotero Chrome Connector that would make this possible. My best guess would be that something else is disabling the extension. Try creating a new Chrome prof…

Glad it worked, but that's a bit odd. Zotero should, in theory, be supported on Firefox 31 (ESR) through 35 (current). Will take a look to see if I can reproduce this. Edit: confirmed. GitHub ticket

Update to the latest version of Firefox (35) and make sure your Zotero is up to date as well (4.0.25.2). If you can reproduce the error after that, submit a report ID (though the debug log is helpful as well). https://www.zotero.org/support/reportin…

I wouldn't forgo the text entry though. I, personally, find date pickers cumbersome, particularly since they require use of the mouse. It also makes it impossible to copy paste dates. But, it can certainly be an option.
-
Sorry for the double post, but yeah, it looks like zotero.org is a bit picky on how it accepts Accessed dates. You have to type them in in the format YYYY-MM-DD or it won't be accepted (maybe some other format works too, but I didn't find one). It's…

Hitting save.Sounds like you're doing this on zotero.org, in which case the methods admasmith and I describe above do not apply (and zotero.org might not recognize "today" or "yesterday" either). We highly recommend installing a local Zotero client …
-
Are you actually using different profiles at the same time (with multiple running instances of Firefox)?
-
Are you typing in the access date? If so, what exactly are you typing in? Lastly, you can type in things like "today" and "yesterday". Also, it's much more practical to save web pages to Zotero by visiting them, right-clicking the page -> Save Z…

run through these: https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues Especially we'd be interested in what you see for step 7 and all the other information requested in step 11

Could you be more specific? Where are you saving metadata from? What citation style are you using?
-
I can reproduce this. We broke it in the last release. Fix coming.

Last update was in 4.0.23 to citeproc-js 1.0.543 https://github.com/zotero/zotero/commit/1f4125325679b6c8afd02e03ccf40cda0e7c0b5f

Sorry for the delay. Had some time to look at this today, but it doesn't look like the credentials you provided are working any more. I'm also experiencing problems accessing history vault via my university's subscription. Sent you an email.

Items in Zotero are global. They do not exist within a single collection. Instead, items are assigned to a collection and can be assigned to multiple collections. So merging two duplicate items into a single item is a global operation and will affec…

Do you get any errors? Can you provide an Error Report ID? https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems

The problem is that I cannot see the book at the right of my navigator in order to record references. Is this anywhere or on the PLOS site? (Please start a new thread if it's not just PLOS, but see issues below first) I don't have any path like the …

There should be no issues as long as you synced everything to zotero.org and the data directory is not going to be used by anyone else. The computer is being wiped clean, so that shouldn't be an issue. But even if it weren't, the data directory is s…

Recently I noticed that the inline citations (APA-6) are not staying linked to the references in the reference sectionWhat exactly do you mean? Do you mean that you insert a new reference into the document and the bibliography does not get updated? …

@adamsmith, I was messing around with EndNote XML import today and it seems that XML import is not suitable for large library transfers (I was trying to import a ~60,000 item library). Because there is no stream parser for XML (and one might not mak…

And your RIS file is placed at HD/user/admin/documents/University/Dissertation/Endnote.Data ? Can you take the entry you posted above, paste it into a new text file (using Notepad) and then save the text file to HD/user/admin/documents/University/Di…

Can you confirm that you have the PDF at HD/user/admin/documents/University/Dissertation/Endnote.Data/pdf/3829176366/Barchard-2012.pdf

Please post a single entry from the RIS file (starting with TY and ending with ER) that includes a PDF attachment.

If by browser you mean zotero.org (rather than Zotero Firefox extension) then this option is not available. zotero.org is not meant to be a full-featured replacement for the Zotero client and offers a limited set of functionality. If you want to exp…

You can't. Items in group library are distinct from items in your personal library. You can, of course, delete the item in your personal library and drag-drop it into your personal library (note that deleting an item that was inserted into a documen…
-
You would just drag-drop the references you want to share from your personal library into your group library. You have to do this in a local client (Zotero Standalone or Zotero for Firefox), not online at zotero.org
-
Yes, all 3 will be possible. What you won't be able to do is edit metadata for a reference that someone else inserted (e.g. fixing an author's name). What we suggest for collaboration is creating a group and inserting references from a group librar…

What link exactly are you trying to attach?
