I think there are other possible privacy issues worth mentioning that should be made clear to the user. (These apply to all browsers) Using Retrieve Metadata and lookup by identifier features send user-entered data (via keyboard or from PDF) to thi…

Privacy policy is outlined here https://www.zotero.org/support/terms/privacy though I think it's a little inaccurate when taking into account connectors (like the chrome extension), since connectors, in the absence of Zotero Standalone, communicate …

What version of Firefox and Zotero are you using? Make sure you're up to date and not using a beta/alpha version.
-
not easily, no. Here's what they give to us: AU - Gillian Naylor AU - Kimberly E. Frank This should be AU - Naylor, Gillian AU - Frank, Kimberly E. We should treat all names as personal names in RIS when it is called from other translators (which s…

Not really sure. Seems that way. Perhaps it's not intentional. I'll look more into this a bit later.
-
Also, filter out the references from "My Library" or group library categories that are already listed under "Cited"

Oh yeah. Then it's best to comment on the PR

Also feel free to create a PR on Github. We can probably tell you what's at fault.

+1 from me

I agree. This would be a hack and a quite difficult one to keep consistent across translators. We should only scrape metadata available on the current site and let the Zotero client fill in missing/incorrect pieces. That functionality will be coming…

I don't think it would make import more fragile, but this would be a good amount of effort to supplement our data with what's on the page. Probably more complicated by various localizations too. I think it's worth considering.
-
Could you also provide a debug ID for clicking the import button and waiting 10 seconds or so? https://www.zotero.org/support/debug_output

Syncing all of the libraries with the same zotero.org account is exactly what you want to do. I'm not sure what issues exactly you're referring to. If you have more than 300MB of PDFs and do not want to pay for Zotero online storage, then you can ei…

You shouldn't need to delete the reference from Bibliography manully. If the reference persists after refreshing the bibliography, it means that it was not properly removed. Press Alt+F9 and look for any left-over field codes (assuming you're using …

Your original link was a good choice. We prefer to see exactly what you see. It's easy to take out the proxy. I can reproduce the issue, but can't fix it currently.

Is the original #2 still showing up in the bibliography? You can place your cursor in the citation and then 'Edit Citation' from the Zotero menu in Word, delete the citation, and hit Enter.Should be able to just delete normally (backspace or delete)…

Thanks for reporting. We'll take a look as soon as possible and report back here when it's fixed.

Turns out I was mistaken. While this is technically supported in Zotero 4.0.27+, it does require release of Zotero Chrome connector 4.0.27+ and that hasn't happened yet. Simon said he would try to get to it in the next few days. Should be resolved a…

Could you provide the URL that fails to import? Also, Dan, what's the error?
-
Looks like it currently does block localhost as well https://github.com/EFForg/privacybadgerfirefox/issues/596
-
Depends on how privacy badger really works under the hood, but it may recognize repeated requests to localhost as tracking as well. (though I guess you didn't white-list that) We should add it to the list of conflicting extensions.

The non-breaking space still feels like a hack if we're really just using it as a signifier that's parsed outI'm also thinking that it could work nicely when exported in various formats (RIS, maybe BibTeX, etc.). I'm not sure how SQLite collation al…

we'll need a solution that doesn't corrupt the fields, as the double-quotes do. If that means adding additional creator fields, we can plan to do thatI'm not a fan of double quotes either, TBH, but I don't think we need separate DB fields for this. …
-
If you look at the principle by which privacy badger works, you'll see that Zotero is a perfect candidate for blocking. When you visit different pages and use Zotero, you are loading content from zotero.org and zotero.org probably does set cookies, …

What URL are you using?

Do you have WebDAV syncing set up? (The url for the WebDAV server may be entered incorrectly)
-
Are you completely certain that the sync settings on both computers are the same? If that is the case, and both computers say that the sync has completed, then we'll need a debug ID from both computers for the first sync after you reset file sync hi…

@olephc, should be fixed now. Update your translators via Preferences -> General -> Update Now, restart browser, and try again. Thank you for reporting! Let us know if you find something else that does not work.
