I think he's referring to the BibTeX CSL style, which I don't think has the capability of replacing special characters, but I could be wrong.

forward to the french team of fr.wikipedia.org. Are you saying you will forward or that we should? You should do it if the latter Simon or Dan can tell you more about Chrome.
-
This is an issue with the wikipedia template. The COinS on that page lacks almost all metadata: Compare to COinS from http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disease_mongering Though the latter also has a bunch of "empty" COinS. This…
-
You'll have to be more specific and provide steps to reproduce. Also, post the URL to the page you are importing from.
-
Could you provide a link to that article?
-
That's because Zotero now has a new translator for importing wikipedia articles. Before it used to use COinS. If you still want to import references that are cited inside the article, right-click the icon in the URL bar and select COinS.

After you restart the computer, the message pops up after the first attempt at opening Zotero? Zotero might be having problems while starting up and you are then trying to open it again. See http://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_bugs#reporting_st…

@Dan text must be a string in Zotero.Item.setNote() (was undefined) (This should be fixed, though.) Do you suggest that this gets fixed in the RDF translator, or in setNode (i.e. silently ignore notes that are undefined)? If former, I might need to…

I'm also seeing this with 3.0.7 Standalone on Windows XP Seems like on each character it causes a database update: Excerpt from log (this repeats for each character): UPDATE itemAttachments SET syncState=? WHERE itemID IN (SELECT itemID FROM items…

Yeah, I agree. My main goal is to implement the support for importing ProCite RIS files, but I sort of went on a tangent trying to improve export as well. I'll just add field export so it makes sense and will not include any qualifying notes.

Adam was not being disrespectful, he was trying to make it easier to help you. On Zotero.org, under My Library, when you are looking at your records, and trying to navigate to the next page, there are two buttons. There is a button that looks like …

Are those for journal titles or article titles?

Last question before I run out of ideas, could you post the first 5 lines of the scrambled mess that you are seeing? Open the pdf in Firefox and when you see the page that is scrambled, right-click somewhere on the page, select View Page Source and …
-
1) Go to Firefox->Options->Options->Applications. What do you have set for "Adobe Acrobat Document" (or if you use something else, try to find what corresponds to a PDF, it might say 'application/pdf') 2) If you right click the PDF attachm…
-
And then I asked if you see a pdf attachment under that item, or only the snapshot, like you show in the video.
-
That is correct. It should be showing the journal icon. If you click it, it will import the article into Zotero. Is the PDF still scrambled?
-
What you show in the video is capturing the actual webpage, not the article. Though it still should not scramble the PDF that is embedded in the snapshot. There's something messed up with mime types on your firefox setup. Performing the same steps w…

Hit Alt+F9. This will toggle on field codes. Now look for some left over braces where the unwanted bibliography is being inserted and remove them (along with whatever is between them). When Zotero inserts citations, it actually creates several step…

The automatic capitalization has been going on for a while (it's coded in the NCBI PubMed translator), it just got turned off with 3.0.4 when the flag for capitalizeTitle was flipped. So we just need to force it now.
-
So you're saying that if you right-click on the PDF attachment in Zotero (should say something like "Full Text PDF" and have a PDF icon), select Show File and open the PDF in your PDF viewer, it works fine (there is no "Wiley bar" at the top, like i…

Tags are added based on what is provided by pubmed. If you link to a specific article, we can see if it's a bug or if the article just doesn't have keywords.

Just wanted to note in this thread the following: series is currently used in: book, bookSection, conferencePaper, dictionaryEntry, encyclopediaArticle, journalArticle and seems to indicate the series that the book, dictionary, journal, etc. belon…

Zotero uses CrossRef translator for looking up DOIs

I have tried typing in the permanent JSTOR URL Magic wand box only takes ISBN, PubMed ID, and DOI I have tried grabbing the JSTOR number and adding JSTOR's DOI preface. I'm not sure what prefix you are adding. From a quick look I couldn't find any a…
-
Hence my quoestion above. If you open the file in the PDF reader, does it work? You can find the file by right clicking on it in Zotero and selecting Show file. Are you sure your translators are up to date? (Gears menu -> Preferences... -> Gen…

Mine worked off the database, which was handy for avoiding the need pull data from a running Zotero instance, but made for complexity in the code That's awesome! My initial attempt was also in that direction, except I was trying to write it as a bas…

@Dan, is there anything suspicious in that report?
-
I went with option 4). Manually set the correct publication date from within Wiley's translator. I don't think there are any other meta tags that we are ignoring, but I may have overlooked something.
-
But then again, which date do you go with: online publication date or print publication date? http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/pmic.201100327/abstract Online is earlier than print
