After selecting BibTeX in Google scholar settings, do you see a BibTeX link next to the search results? if you click the link, do you see a BibTeX entry (something like the text on the bottom of this page www.bibtex.org/Format/)?

In firefox, right-click on the page, select "View Page Info". Go to Security -> View Cookies. You can select "Remove All Cookies", which may also log you out of Google. Then refresh the page and try again.

But wouldn't a pinpoint reference have to be different (diff. page number) for other references? I don't know how page numbers are handled in the processor, I'm just thinking out loud.

Right, I just meant to say that it's not as smooth (in terms of user experience) as it can be. We might want to make a wiki page listing webdav services known to be compatible (or incompatible) with Zotero.

Don't go to the actual PDF for adding items to Zotero. Add them from the abstract or HTML full text view. Zotero scrapes metadata from the HTML page, which is not available in most cases when you are viewing PDF
