FWIW, pdf imports from EndNote should now work without any modifications to the RIS file. see www.zotero.org/support/kb/importing_records_from_endnote
-
You should be right-clicking the title _not_ while in edit mode (i.e. not when you can type in the field)
-
See bullet point #5: http://www.zotero.org/support/tips_and_tricks
-
If you mean you're developing a website, then see http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/exposing_metadata If you're talking about a library catalog you are simply using, then you would have to provide us some more details. I.e. what library catalog and…

Forex: If i have someone namend (and entered into Zotero) John S. Doe, the style turns it into John S Doe. Any Idea where i can disable that? Look for initialize-with option set to an empty string (i.e. initialized-with enabled but nothing in the te…

In particular, when he opens Zotero on his PC he only gets the top page. What exactly do you mean by "top page" and "opens Zotero"? And are we talking about Zotero for Firefox or Zotero Standalone? Zotero icon on the bottom right corner appears only…

Also, if the above Debug ID was generated in Chrome and Firefox does indeed fail to attach PDFs from the link above, could you generate another Debug ID with Firefox?
-
I am able to download them individually as well as with the firefox plugin downthemall. With zotero, I'm not getting any of them -- just the citations and page snapshot. any ideas? That debug ID was generated with Chrome, correct? Can you confirm t…

Could you create a Debug ID for an attempt to save a reference with PDF?
-
Do you have access to the actual PDFs you are trying to download? I.e. can you download them manually in your browser? From the link you posted (minus the proxy) Zotero automatically attaches PDFs for Front Matter, Copyright, Contributors, Acknowle…

Actually my plan was to use what Rintze points to http://www.crossref.org/guestquery/#textsearch Edit: but yes, Google Scholar would be a fallback option

I have Firefox 19 and Zotero 3.0.11. Shall i passe to the 3.0.12 version? Firefox 19 is currently still in beta. Generally speaking, Zotero may be broken in beta versions of Firefox (though this is not exactly the reason here). It turns out that SU…

Zotero connectors have direct access to the Zotero data directory? Also, in case where a connector is used without ZSA (i.e. directly with zotero.org) there is no zotero data directory... or is there?
-
This should be fixed in the latest translator. (with connectors, how do translator updates work? Are they sync'ed with Standalone? Do you need to update connector translators manually via connector Options -> Advanced -> Update Translators?)
-
The Chrome and Safari connectors were not updated since 3.0.8, but cleanISBN was introduced in 3.0.9. We messed up when updating the translator by not marking it minVersion 3.0.9 This is definitely going to be fixed with 3.0.12, but in the mean tim…

if you click on My Library, is there another entry with that same first author (sort by author)? If so, make sure you are inserting the correct one.
-
There's a temporary fix out right now that addresses this.
-
I pushed a temporary fix for this, while I finish the new BibTeX translator. In single field mode (i.e. corporate authors) you should now see exports like {{Denso Wave}}. You will also get {{Toys R {US}}} however, but that doesn't harm anyone, so t…

The pipes folder can stay. Just to be sure, can you see your old library now?
-
Were you able to start Zotero Standalone at step 6 without errors? Could you post a screenshot of the file permissions for the zotero.sqlite file located in /Users//Library/Application Support/Zotero/Profiles//zotero/ directory?
-
OK, I hope I don't get in trouble for this, but try the following. Close Zotero Standalone Go to /Users//Library/Application Support/Zotero/Profiles// Copy the zotero.sqlite folder to your desktop (IMPORTANT!! this will make a backup of your databas…

@adamsmith @fbennett etc. Does the directory structure look right in that screenshot? I don't own a Mac, but I'm particularly surprised to see that the zotero folder under Profiles/{...}/ is named zotero.sqlite
-
Now that you found the correct directory, did you also follow the original instructions from Dan? You'd get this if you don't have permissions to modify your Zotero data directory. That's not an issue with Zotero in particular and so is beyond the s…

I'm with Geacile. Source would be consistent with how we use this in web translators, but Catalog gives this field more context. While we're on the topic of labels, I'd like to do something about Archive and Archive Location. TBH, I am still confus…

Also, this is the reason why it fails: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/21331/disambiguate-first-name-only-when-same-year/#Item_24

Pushed an update that should fix Chrome issues, but will wait for tests to run before enabling it for Chrome. Basically, at least until tomorrow, this will not be resolved (unless Simon or Dan run the tests sooner)
-
Is this really what happens? How does Zotero determine what to delete? I was sort of worried about a similar thing happening with DropBox (i.e. do my files get deleted if my storage capacity goes down?), but it turns out that your files remain, you …

Sorry for the double posts, but since you are using MLZ (and have Firefox open) you should be able to import just fine from Firefox. @adamsmith, yes, but it doesn't look to be compatible with Chrome http://zotero-translator-tests.s3-website-us-east…
-
That doesn't really matter. It's the same issue. Since this is MLZ, Frank Bennett could fix this before 3.0.12 release, so I guess it's up to him.

http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/27111/ssrn-and-zotero-on-mac-not-working-at-all/ Fixed in 3.0.12 (should be released within a week or so) Not much you can do about it right now besides using Zotero for Firefox
