@mattstidham If you see {Updating} after inserting the citation (the Zotero citation dialog and progress bar closes), try using Google Docs and Zotero with Firefox and see if you still get the issue. Which browser are you using now?

You can drag items onto tags in the tag pane below the collection list to tag them. You can also assign colors to tags and use numbers 1 through 9 on your keyboard to assign them onto your items.

You need to use the Zotero program on your computer to see your library. The browser extension is used to save items into your library. See https://www.zotero.org/support/quick_start_guide

You have to manually remove the cited items from text. Removing them with the bibliography editor only removes them from the Bibliography, but not from where you cited them in the body of the text.

You will have to poke around in the Word Trust Center in the options, although macros can be disabled by group policy in Windows by your administrator. Is this a personal computer?
