We have a github issue to track this with more information regarding progress. We generally want to support it, but the current developer toolkit is difficult to work with. However, there are other more pressing issues with the connectors, as they a…

Try everything on this list https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#debugging_broken_documents If a new document works fine and you cannot perform a single action on a specific document it is likely that the document fi…

@parsehb this is because Zotero is failing to detect the correct URL for this catalog behind the proxy (i.e. www.clinicalkey.com instead of www-clinicalkey-com). If you prefer using Zotero Standalone, you can update Zotero for Firefox to Zotero Conn…

It should be set by default for proxies, which redirect to hyphenated hostnames for https protocols, so not sure why that didn't work. I'm rather hesitant to turn it on for all proxies - might cause issues with sites that use actual hyphens in their…

In connector preferences, under Proxy tab, do you have an entry for "https://%h.ezproxy.lib.monash.edu.au/%p"? If you select it, is "Automatically convert hyphens to dots in proxied hostnames" checked? If the connector detected the proxy automatica…

Does this also occur in a new document? If not, see https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#debugging_broken_documents

Thanks for this. Debug output submitting has now been fixed. Can't see anything obvious from the log. I will look into running the connector with NoScript at some point later, but this will not be very high priority I am afraid.

I actually worked specifically with the Cambridge Core when testing hyphenated proxy support. I cannot reproduce: it seems to behave well for me both with Cambridge and Embedded Metadata translators on these pages behind a proxy. Could you provide a…

Seems like it should work. Under "Developer > Macros", do Zotero macros show up? What happens if you open Zotero.dot directly?
-
If you provide a Connector Debug ID for a page refresh with NoScript running we could take a look.
-
There have been reports of uBlock Origin and other browser extensions causing issues, so I'd recommend starting there. I've updated the troubleshooting page to include this information too.
-
Oh, I was not aware of this, but certainly needs to be looked into. I've created an issue to track progress.

Running Standalone does not have any effect on proxy detection. To detect a proxy for the first time, you need to be taken via EZProxy authorization page, where you sign in with your credentials. The login credentials time-out after a while, which w…

This will be fixed in the upcoming version of Zotero Connectors for both Safari and Chrome. At the moment the connector is out for Firefox as a Beta version, if you want to try it.

This is a known LibreOffice and OSX compatibility bug (which appears to only affect a subset of Mac users) https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99784 There is little we can do on our side of things, but you can post on their bug tra…

[JavaScript Error: "Translate: Authentication failed with message An authorization request is already in progress."]Did you have Zotero Standalone running when trying to save? You should still be able to save to your online library, but using Zotero…

We will need more background https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems#provide_steps_to_reproduce

So this actually works if you wait long enough. Zotero actually saves the snapshot with a 90MB+ .mp4 file on the page, which is why it might take forever depending on your internet connection. @Dan%20Stillman we should consider snapshot size restri…

You will still need to give us more background, than that as I cannot reproduce the problem. See the link above. You can also try to do your own troubleshooting https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues

This has been requested before. We generally want to implement it and I've created an issue but there is no timeline at the moment.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. By the looks of the code here the key should be [A-Z2-9]{8}. Also, questions regarding development for Zotero are better suited for the zotero-dev mailing list (it is okay to continue the thread here if you have fur…

You can generate an API key in your profile settings https://www.zotero.org/settings/keys

This may be a stupid question, but do you have Zotero Standalone running while saving articles with Chrome? If not, they will be saved directly to your online Zotero account.
-
In general you might find the Zotero wiki a useful resource for doing advanced stuff like editing styles. Regarding using a custom file, see this https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step#install_your_edited_style…

Zotero can't really cause BSODs. If this happened once, you are probably okay to ignore it. If you keep on getting BSODs, especially after keeping your machine on for a long time, there are likely more serious issues with it.

There you go https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/transferring_a_library ! Use option A. Should work just fine for Juris-M. Syncing should work as well, although with over 400 items you might need to purchase a Storage plan. See here for more info htt…

I've created an issue for this. We certainly would like to support this, but it will not happen immediately.
-
@Rintze attempting to improve this is on my to-do list in some not too distant future, but may take a while as there's a lot of code to sift through.

Way cool! I fixed it using your first recommendation. Then I broke it by trying to set up a shortcut key (set it to the Insert Citation macro). Then I fixed again with the same method (the properties for the Temp folder had reverted). Chances are th…
