Have you tried disabling other extensions?
-
There are no guarantees that Zotero addons will work on alpha/beta versions of software that they integrate with. The current latest stable version of Firefox is 55 and saving seems to work fine on that one.
-
Ok, sorry about that. Seems that the context-menu options are broken at the moment. We'll release a fix soon, but in the meantime if you have automatic snapshot saving enabled in Zotero client and click on the button for pages without translation, a…

These are Report IDs. Please follow the instructions in the link above.

Could you submit a Debug ID for an attempted save from both Zotero client and Zotero Connector?
-
If you have manually appended or prepended text to Zotero citations in footnotes, then that could be the cause of the problem and if you have done it across the document, then splitting it in half would still produce the error. I know this is very …

Does it occur in a new document?

Follow custom Mac Word 2016 keyboard shortcut instructions. To locate Zotero actions select "Macros" under Categories and search for "Zotero" Multiple people are affected by this, but we've yet to have anyone come back to us having fixed the tab no…

@R.Sheaff could you create a new thread and explain your issue in full?
-
Out of curiosity, what OS and what theme was it?
-
What version of which OS are you running? Any weird theme settings?
-
In the latest version of the connector (5.0.18) detect automatically runs on the first frame on the page if the top frame does not have any compatible translators, which will hopefully address most of these.

Deselect All issue fixed in 5.0.18 version of the Connector

Bugfix now available in connector version 5.0.18.
-
@kitezh version 5.0.18 is now available which would have addressed this issue. If you are still having problems create a new thread and describe your problems in full as detailed in https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems

Have you tried resetting the normal template as described in above link and reinstall the plugin? Did that do anything or no change? When do you get the "compile error in hidden module" message? You can awkwardly access Zotero macros by going into …

If it worked on campus some time ago, it's worth trying on the machine it worked on before. Otherwise you should still inform IT. It is not likely you are the only one using Zotero for their work.
-
If this is on campus computers, it's because Zotero is having trouble accessing the required files for the integration to work, most likely because they appear to be located on a network drive. You'll need to contact IT or install Zotero on a person…

@Annagoldkind go to Connector Preferences -> Advanced and click Update Translators (Don't be afraid to create a new forum thread and describe your problem in full, if your problem is not exactly the same. It makes it easier for everyone if each…

Right. This is a known bug. We'll release a bugfix soon, but the current awkward workaround is either resetting your firefox profile or 1. Going to about:debugging (type/paste into URL bar and press Enter) 2. Ticking "Enable add-on debugging" 3. Cli…

Do you see the Proxies tab in the Preferences? Can you submit a Report ID?
-
Could you try resetting your normal.dotm template, then reinstalling the word plugin from the citation pane again and seeing if the Tab appears?
-
You will need to update to a more recent version of Firefox. 45 is very old and unsupported by Mozilla themselves any longer. Look for either Firefox 52 ESR, which is a long-term support version, or the latest version Firefox 55.
-
How do you know it is correctly installed? https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#tab_does_not_appear_in_word_2016

Could you go into Connector Preferences -> Advanced, tick "Enable at Startup" under Debug Output Logging, restart the browser, go to a site that doesn't work after restart and try saving, then go to Preferences -> Advanced, untick "Enable Logg…

Ok, there's another bug that causes Proxies tab to not be displayed, but if you see it, then you are not affected. In that case there's nothing specific we can recommend if you don't want to reset the profile. The way to go is to disable extensions …

If you go to the Connector Preferences do you see the "Proxies" tab at all?
-
Dan did have the same idea of improving the message, but it's a native LO message, not a Zotero one.
-
There is a difference between using a footnote based style and adding comments, and inserting inline references into footnotes inserted by the word processor. The latter being fully supported and the former having unspecified behaviour. Consider th…

Excellent. Thanks in helping us track down the cause.
