Does this occur in every document or just some specific one?
-
There's no straightforward way to localize the plugin at the moment. As such we currently have no plans to do it.

The latest update of Zotero 5.0.28 should have fixed the cursor jumping, by the way. You might need to restart LibreOffice after the update. We'll have some small speed improvements soon for LibreOffice, but for the reported slowdown, we'd need to…

In Zotero go into Tools -> Add-ins and make sure Word for Mac Integration Add-in is enabled, then restart and try again in Word

I've been testing with Ubuntu 17.04 and LibreOffice 5.3.3.2 myself. It does seem from the debug log you've provided that each text change is taking nearly a second on your machine. On mine (and in the video you produced with Zotero 4) each text chan…

You should upgrade the Zotero Connector to the latest version 5.0.27, which will likely improve this. If it does not, please provide another Debug ID for a page load
-
I've just tested this with Zotero 4 and the old plugin. If you insert (Arjona 1999) at the start of the document it produces a full refresh of all references, which was just as slow with Zotero 4 as it was with 5 for me. It is also not clear, that …

Can you consistently reproduce this?
-
The cursor jumping is new, but general update speed is the same for me on Zotero 4 and 5. However I have found a way to cut the time a citation update takes in half in LibreOffice, which should come out as an update sometime pretty soon. Word is una…

@esegni You should update Word 2013 to the latest version 15.0.4981.1001
-
We'll have some updates shortly that should speed this up and stop the cursor from jumping, but in the meantime, could you produce a Debug ID for the insertion that you show in the video?
-
Ok. Please make sure you have the latest version of Zotero first (which seems like you do now). Then perform the procedure of copying the files again, restart Zotero and try again.

I should have mentioned you should have restarted Zotero after replacing those files. Does restarting Zotero help?
-
Please follow the instructions in this post and post your results in that thread.
-
This is usually unnecessary but have you tried reinstalling Word? I've also reported this to Microsoft, so they might have some ideas, but this should generally work fine.
-
Please describe your problem in greater detail https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems

Did this start happening when you updated Word to 15.39?
-
The page is recognised and saves nicely for me. See https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues If that doesn't help, please create a new thread.

What does the error message say?
-
So just to confirm, what exactly occurs? Does Word freeze completely or is just slow?
-
Are there any error messages? Do you get a Zotero citation window? Does Zotero remain open?
-
You will need to figure out where Firefox portable stores the profile. You can usually do this by navigating to about:support and clicking "Open Directory" under Profile Directory. Your Zotero data should be stored under directory named zotero. You…

(Although you should update Word to 15.39 -- the older versions have issues with addons)
-
Could you export a triplet of the entries that are missorted as RDF, upload the file somewhere (like dropbox) and post the link here?
-
Do you press the button and nothing at all occurs? Could you produce a debug ID where you reload the page?
-
Does it happen in a new document (or other documents with Zotero references), or only this one? If it's only this one, you should run through these steps https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#debugging_broken_documents
-
Please see https://www.zotero.org/support/forum_guidelines#etiquette And then https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems
-
Just to clarify: Zotero itself does not require JRE. What you were seeing in the debug log window was Zotero attempting to install its document processor plugins. That only happens on the first time you run Zotero upon installation, usually takes a…

Would you mind sending the example document to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread? Also, have you experienced the speed issues with Zotero 4.0 or is this new with 5.0?
