We usually don't recommend this, but you should try re-downloading and re-installing Zotero, then going into Zotero -> Edit -> Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processor Plugins, reinstall Word integration and try again.

Does it work in a new document?
-
In Zotero go to Edit -> Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processor Plugin and reinstall the plugin.
-
What if you reinstall the release version of Zotero 5.0.29, reinstall LibreOffice plugin in Zotero preferences and try again?

I'm seeing italics when inserting a footnote citation. Does it work in a new document?

Could you produce a Debug ID for reloading one of the resolver URLs (e.g. the one you posted above) from the Connector? I.e. enable debug logging, reload the page that has the resolved URL open and submit the debug log.

As for why it fails: if you need to do any kind of in-browser authentication to access the database, then "proper" saving from Zotero won't work, since Zotero doesn't share the credentials with your browser. The cloned feed item metadata is not guar…

Zotero should clone the item from the feed if it cannot save it by opening the page in the background, so this is a bug. Will be fixed shortly.

Follow these install troubleshooting steps.
-
@adamsmith shouldn't happen, will look into it this week.

Sorry about this. It is a Zotero bug. We have a fix in the Beta release. You can install it if this is urgent or wait for the fix to be released in the next proper update.
-
Ok, lets try this fix. Follow these instructions carefully: 1. Open zotero installation folder (default C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero) 2. Navigate to extensions\zoteroWinWordIntegration@zotero.org 3. Download 2010-libs-build.zip 4. Remove the conte…

Install LibreOffice instead of OpenOffice. OpenOffice has not been updated in a few years and is no longer officially supported by Zotero.
-
@tamieu Could you produce a Debug ID for an attempt to insert a citation in the part of the document that does not work?
-
Oh right, I'm actually seeing this. The box is completely blank, but if you resize it the content appears. Seems like a Firefox bug.

Could you produce a Debug ID for an import that imports zero items?
-
Zotero should highlight the field in Word. If it does not, there might be a bug, in which case, could you submit a Debug ID for attempting to insert the bibliography?
-
RIS import on http://library.au.dk/ works for me. Do you get an import prompt on http://scholar.google.com for BibTeX? Regarding https://phmetropol-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/primo-explore/search?vid=45METRO_VU1&lang=da_DK&sortby=rank …

There's various issues regarding improving the citing interface and search results, but no timeline at the moment.

You should open Zotero.dotm with Word, go to Developer tab (enable it in Options), open the Visual Basic editor and change the string there, then save the template file. You might need to move the file out of your startup directory before editing a…

Err.. Sorry, I meant the latest update of Zotero 5.0.27*, which is out already. Testing on macOS is unreliable because LO5 has introduced a lot of macOS specific slowness -- it's slow even without Zotero. Either way, if you are convinced this is a …

When you click the Add/Edit button do you see "{Citation}" appear in the place where the text cursor was?

Does it work in a new document?

Could you produce a Debug ID for a Zotero Plugin button click in LibreOffice?
-
Could you provide a link where this occurs?
-
Sorry it took a while to respond. If this is still happening, could you produce the Debug IDs again with LastPass enabled and disabled? The Debug IDs above are from Zotero client. Follow the instructions for the Firefox Connector instead.

After you open Zotero and Word and add a citation to this document, are further insertions faster? Note that it might seem that Zotero has fronzen, but it's actually processing the citations (you have over 500, which is a pretty big number), so you …
