In Zotero 1. Go to Tools -> Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors 2. Click (Re)Install Word for Windows Add-in
-
To make sure all Zotero directories and files are owned by your user run sudo chown -R $USER:$USER ~/.zotero sudo chown -R $USER:$USER ~/Zotero In general it should have worked fine unless you ran zotero with sudo at some point.

You need to make sure Java JRE is installed and selected. Detailed instructions here https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#installation_error

Could you remove the Connector from Firefox, install the version 5.0.24 (released in late September), then navigate to about:addons click "More" for Zotero Connector, select Off for Automatic Updates, then submit a Debug ID using the previous instru…

See https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/client_coding/building_the_standalone_client If you have more questions, the better place to ask them is on our developer mailing list https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/zotero-dev

I didn't know this and it's really nice -- but how does the connector decide where to show this? With EZ Proxy schema simplification we will be able to show the "Reload via Proxy" option on all pages.

If you go (Command-Shift-G in Finder) to /Applications/Zotero.app/Contents/Resources/extensions/zoteroMacWordIntegration@zotero.org/install are files named Zotero.dot and Zotero.dotm present?
-
When developing I was testing with the ACS pref which worked as expected
-
Could you produce a Debug ID for a google scholar results page refresh from the connector?
-
Yeah, the ones in Zotero client are to be ignored. And the ones in the connector need to be added manually in the config editor, they're not present by default.
-
Hmm. Is this a very slow machine? Are you on a slow internet connection?
-
Okay, so this is actually related to a corner-case issue regarding iframe handling in the connector that we don't have an easy solution for currently. We will comment on this thread when we have something for you, but it will not be overnight.

Looks like something outside of the browser, like security software, is preventing the extension from functioning properly, which is why it doesn't work for either browser. What do you use for security software and are you able to temporarily uninst…

Ok, could you submit a Debug ID from Chrome and Firefox for this procedure: 1. Enable debug logging (by checking the checkbox) 2. Open a new tab and navigate to https://www.reuters.com/article/us-libya-security/u-n-condemns-civilian-deaths-from-air…

Is this a laptop? Are you on a slow internet connection? Can you try connecting to a different wifi router?

Zotero Connector 5.0.29 is out which should fix the problem.

Zotero Connector 5.0.29 is out which should fix the problem. If not post back here with a new Debug ID for the page reload.

Zotero Connector 5.0.29 is out which should fix the problem.

Do you run any security software, and if so, have you tried disabling it? Are you on an slow internet connection? Could you try installing Firefox and the Zotero Connector and seeing if that works better?
-
See this comment and follow up in that thread.
-
Have you tried disabling all other extensions, except for Zotero Connector? The debug log is showing very unusual activity.
-
Hidden prefs work in the Connectors under namespace translators.. Seems like I forgot to document this in the wiki. Will do later.
-
Do you get a message prompt from Word saying that Word could not communicate with Zotero or is nothing happening at all upon a click? How about when Zotero is closed?
-
That's a report ID. Please follow the instructions linked to above and produce a Debug ID for reloading the page.
-
See https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues
-
Ok, so this is partially caused by running Firefox 59. Firefox 57 works fine - webcam icon is displayed, and partially caused by a translator issue, where after clicking on related videos the page is updated via javascript and the translator scrapes…

Ok, let's try Simon's build. Same instructions as above, please let us know if this works fine.

@gwaddell Sorry it took a while to respond. Could you produce two debug IDs (and post them here): 1. From a search page navigate to an article; connector icon displays an article icon and when hovered over says Save to Zotero (EBSCOhost) 2. From a …

The proxy handling for different protocols (HTTP and HTTPS) is a bit flimsy right now, but we have plans to improve it in the future. You should have 2 proxy entries in the Proxy tab within Preferences: 1. http://%h.ep.fjernadgang.kb.dk/%p 2. https:…
