What version of Word are you using? Can you reliably reproduce the above error in a new document and if so, how? Could you submit another Report ID?

Follow Step 8 of debugging instructions and send the broken citation to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread and we will take a look, but you will still have to manually debug it to fix it. There is no automatic solution.

Sounds like a corrupt database. Are you syncing your database using Dropbox or similar service between these two machines? Could you submit a Report ID?

You need to choose a footnote based citation style (like Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (note)) in the Document Preferences which you can find in the Zotero toolbar/tab in Word.
