We've pushed some updates yesterday, which should have made it more reliable. If you run into any problems, do let us know.

The URL is wrong, but that's a translator problem @adamsmith? I agree that Drexel proxy might be more strict and deny the PDF because of wrong referrer.
-
@JoLoCo if you have a copy of the document in the broken state, could you send it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
-
See https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues
-
Does it work in a new document? You shouldn't edit the document while Zotero is inserting a citation as that might interrupt the insertion.
-
The majority of advanced Zotero features require the Zotero client itself, including the Google Docs integration or the collection picker in the connectors. There are no plans for Microsoft Word Mobile integration and no mobile connector for the for…

Are you on Windows or macOS?

@milliken did this used to work before and has stopped working abruptly? Can you manually download this PDF from the database, because Zotero is pulling in a HTML file with a 404 error for the PDF link?

Update to the latest version of Zotero

LibreOffice does not provide a way to insert unicode characters without resetting text formatting, which is why this happens. We are aware of it, but until LO improves their API we are out of options. In Zotero preferences the LO Plugin is shown a n…

You have an old version designed for Firefox of the plugin installed. Zotero comes bundled with Word plugins. Remove that one and restart Zotero, which will restore the correct plugin and allow you to use Zotero with Word.

Have you tried restarting your computer? Do you run any security software?

Zotero is getting a very generic error when trying to write in the data folder. This could be interference from a security software, wrong permissions on the data folder, etc. A Debug ID from Zotero for translator/style reset might shed more light:…

See whether you can install it manually https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_manual_installation

@gabbro Thanks for the report. We'll disable the plugin in Suggesting mode, since we cannot make it work reliably. This will be available in an updated version within the next 24 hours.

@Lorena%20Florez See the debugging broken documents steps. If you still can't get it to work, please create a new forum thread. This one is for a different issue.

If you open the Visual Basic editor, which line does it fail on?
-
@wsetyonugroho, @nskg the updated version of the Connector beta fixes the issue you have reported. Thanks! @netbuoy We are bundling the google integration code with the non-beta versions of the Connector, but they're behind on bugfixes, although ge…

Is it still the same error message? If not, could you copy the new message?

@jan.tobola is the document stored in OneDrive?

Yes, it seems that the prompt says "Terminal" wants access to control "Microsoft Word", instead of "Zotero". Our current method of communication with Word works via the Terminal and we're not in a position to change that. You will have to grant Term…

Did you ever have Zotero and Word working on this machine before you started getting this error? Could you test whether it works in a new Windows profile/user?
-
You have automatic citation updates disabled. See https://www.zotero.org/blog/zotero-5-0-36/#faster-citing-in-large-documents

We've not seen bugs like this one before and it seems like a Word issue. Things to try as recommended on various MS forums: 1) Reinstall Word 2) Move the Normal.dotm template somewhere else and let Word create a new one on restart 3) Try running Wor…

There are multiple sections for different word processors on the page. You should specifically look at https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#zotero_tab_does_not_appear_in_the_word_ribbon Describe what you have done in…

@nskg Does it work in a new document? If it does, could you produce a Debug ID from Zotero for a citation attempt? 1. In the Zotero Help menu, go to Debug Output Logging and select Enable. 2. In Google Docs attempt to add a citation with Zotero, un…

The {Processing} appearing and disappearing is not a bug. You should not touch the document while trying to add a citation. If you proceed normally to add a citation, do you get an error?
-
Your debug ID should contain a reload of the jstor page you posted above, waiting for it to load and then attempting a save.
