Have you tried restarting your computer. If Zotero is closed do you get a prompt telling you to open Zotero? When you open it does it still not work?
-
If you can find a way to consistently trigger this, please post with the steps and we'll get it fixed.

It's not working in a new document Can you insert citations, a bibliography and then refresh it in a new document? If not, at which step does it fail and what kind of error do you get? Could you submit another report ID after receiving the error?

What version of Word are you running (such as 16.25)? Does it work well in a new document? Have you tried going through the document debugging instructions?
-
Could you submit a Report ID from your browser? Does it work well in a new document? Are you trying to insert citations in links to webpages (that is not allowed). Does it not work no matter where you put the cursor in the document or only specific…

If that happens it means that you have cited two different versions of the same item in the document, and later deleted one of them in Zotero. To fix this you need to reinsert every instance of this item citation in the document.

Ok, I managed to get the 2013 version of Word and unfortunately I still cannot replicate anything like this. The number of items in a citation shouldn't ever cause such issues with Word. It would either fail with any number or work with any number. …

Ok, I currently don't have the specific version of Word that you are using to test on, but I will update once I get hold of it. We really don't have any reports of issues like this. In the meantime you should try: 1. Restarting the computer 2. Disab…

Does it work if you insert only items that do not produce any accented characters? Does it break if you only insert the "Brière et al" item?

What is the version number of Word? Check under File -> Account.

Have you tried updating Word?

You can reproduce this in a new document, right? Is it 3 items that cause it, or 3 specific items in a citation? Can you reproduce it citing any items?
-
Are you adding references by using the Edit bibliography dialog, or by pressing Add/Edit citation? Could you produce a Report ID after having received the error related to having 3 or more items in the same citation?

Could you submit a Report ID?

In Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors uncheck the "Use classic Add Citation dialog" checkbox.

Could you produce a Debug ID from Zotero? 1. In the Zotero Help menu, go to Debug Output Logging and select Enable. 2. Attempt to save https://www-tandfonline-com.ezproxy.rice.edu/doi/pdf/10.1080/00213624.1999.11506190?needAccess=true in Firefox an…

Did you manage to resolve it? If so, what caused it? Which word processor are you using?
-
Did you copy and paste the contents of this document from another document? If all citations unlink upon interaction with Zotero, it means that Zotero couldn't find the field codes that should be stored in the document for those citations. Copying a…

Reinstallation won't help in this case. Run through the debugging broken documents steps.

Have you tried restarting Zotero?
-
That is correct. Right now the translators should be able to translate the page loaded from the URL with both JS enabled and disabled.
-
Does it work if you refresh the page?
-
Look through all Zotero windows (either in the start bar, or by using Alt-Tab) after pressing Add/edit citation in Google Docs. The citation dialog might not come up to the top the first time you try to interact with google docs.
-
All Zotero extensions are disabled. Enable the Word extension in Tools -> Add-ins

If you click over an existing citation is it possible to edit it? Does it work if you restart Zotero?
-
Presumably this does not happen every time you cite? Have you noticed any pattern to when this happens? Does it only happen for new citations, or citation edits too?
-
Could you produce a Debug ID from Zotero instead of the connector for the failed save?
-
When you use Zotero integration with Google Docs ensure that you do not close or navigate away in the tab where you have the document open. The Debug ID shows that the last thing Zotero tried to do was to select a manually modified citation in the d…

Could you be more specific about how you produced this error? How big is the document? Were you inserting in a section that someone else was also editing at the same time? What versions of Word were the collaborators using?
