Are you experiencing any actual issues with using it, or just seeing this in the error log?

@provartn We have pushed an update to the export code. Could you try exporting the document again and seeing whether it imports successfully in Word?

This seems like a case of corrupt document. The debugging broken documents instructions will be the only option that will allow you to fix this properly and definitely.

As an aside, if coauthors have been inserting Zotero citations into the shared Google Doc using their own Zotero library and you import the Google Doc into Word to "polish" it, Zotero won't be able to find those and will just leave text-based citati…

-
Did you check the tab with the Google document? It should display a prompt. Zotero is waiting for you to interact with it.
-
First make sure your browser is up to date. Then restart both Zotero and your browser and try again.
-
You do not have neither the Zotero menu option at the top nor the button in the button bar? Does the popup to "Edit with Zotero" appear if you place the text cursor over an existing citation?
-
Does it help if you restart your browser? How about in a copy of the document (under File -> Make a Copy)?
-
Did you recently update Word? You should go into Zotero -> Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors and reinstall the Word plugin on both of the machines that you work on. There were bugs for a very specific part of users of Zotero that did n…

Ok, could you step by step explain what you did up to this point, i.e. where the current citations are coming from, how you created the new document, what is working, not working, or working partially?

You may be able to use the Word feature which allows merging different revisions of the same document. See https://support.office.com/en-us/article/compare-and-merge-two-versions-of-a-document-f5059749-a797-4db7-a8fb-b3b27eb8b87e

Did you use the export/import feature form the Zotero Beta to move between Word and Google Docs? Can you edit any of the citations in the document within Google Docs?
-
How long is the document? If you refresh the webpage, how long does it take for your whole document to load in the browser, before you can scroll all the way down to the last page? How many citations do you currently have in it?
